Fairly easy start until we face Liverpool. Great opportunity to build up some confidence and momentum, unlike last season where we crashed down to earth in the City game.

Nicely spread out for us next season and a decent run-in, even if we do need to play in front on an empty stadium in early April.

Comfortable looking start, hopefully get a good run of wins under our belts. The run in looks favourable compared to last seasons as well.

It looks balanced for the 1st time I have seen it in a while... Only thing annoying is the 1st week of December with Champions League in the middle

Not normal to start and end at home, is it? I thought foxtures were designed so certain patterns are impossible, e.g. home to either start or end season, home either on Boxing Day or New Year's.

Yep fixtures are nicely balanced, very favourable start, the big games all spread out rather than clustered together like what normally happens and not a bad run in

What are people's thoughts on how likely the New Year fixtures could shift a date or two? 30th Dec date could be earlier a day or two I guess, but could it also be pushed back to 31st and our Everton game likewise to the 2nd or 3rd Jan?

Glad we don't have an accumulation of away games against top sides this time around. It looks very evenly spread across the season for the first time in a while.

Let's hope we can be qualified for the last 16 by the last match day.

Could see all those games moved for TV too. Hopefully we get a decent draw in the group stages, and some nice home fixtures sandwiched between those.

Pretty good start on paper - so that's four goal-less draw then!

I suppose they can argue that the other times (except Arsenal) will also have CL games - and Arsenal should still be ion Thursday night hell. Depends where we have to travel and if our CL opponents have tricky games domestically but as usual the PL couldn't give a monkey's about any of that

Great fixture list and very comfortable start. We should benefit from it. We really need to.

As others have mentioned not a bad schedule, compared to last year. Big games are slightly spread out. Good start, OK Christmas period and good run in. October to early November tough but everyone has hard period in every season like. It was awful with EL, the run in was ridiculous too.

They do it every season. Is it really a surprise any more?

At least all those club's should still be in Europe too

It's the group stage and they've all qualified for their respective group completions.

    Me too....

I remember a couple of years ago that Abu Dhabi Athletic had home games for the opening match, 2 out of 3 home matches around Xmas and New Year, and a home match on the last day of the season.

It also seems we play Swansea away first or second week of the season every year, although maybe it just feels like that.

We will have games on Sunday once the TV companies have decided what games they will broadcast

Its ok at first glance I guess, I was expecting a top 6 clash on the opening weekend of the season similar to last year with Liverpool vs Arsenal but luckily there isn't.

Oh ok, thanks. You'd think with how much influence TV has in football financially these days they'd have it all done at the same time as the fixtures come out instead of having basically another fixture list come out once they've sorted what games will be screened.
