Pogba injury update
Asked about Pogba, Mourinho said:
“No idea. But again, it’s a great opportunity for other players to play and I trust them all.”
Mourinho on away fixtures
“It is very difficult but it means it will be easier later. If we play now CSKA in Moscow and Benfica in Lisbon then later we will play at Old Trafford. If we have consecutive matches away, it means later we will play them at Old Trafford so I am never too worried. The number of matches in the league is going to be the same.
If we cannot win we try to get points and then try to compensate with good form at home.”
Mourinho on Lukaku chant
“Don’t ask me that question.”
Calls on the fans to “support the football club and support the players”.
Don't ask me that question
Maybe scared that someone was going to ask if it's true.
Mourinho on Southampton
“They are very stable in the way they play and in the way they see football, the qualities of their players.”
Did they ask him if it was true?
Don't think any of them would be that brave.
So I have been meaning to ask this for a while, does anyone else feel like Simon Stone starts off with an annoying tone when he prepares to ask a question? I mean the question he asks itself need not be an annoying question, but just the tone with which he begins is annoying in a way right?
I know! He always sound really pretentious.
I'm out of the loop on this one but what could be true?
About the Pogba injury, does anyone else think if it's serious, we would have heard something by now?
Glad I am not the only one who feels that way . It almost feels like he's reviewing the performance of the manager or something.
You may be sorry you asked, but the chant and the size of Lukaku's... a part of his body.
Not sure what to think tbh. I assume they've assessed the injury by now, and whether its good, bad or in the middle, I don't see what's to be gained by not giving people an ETA.
You should be thick as feck to ask the manager about it. I don't understand why journos waste the questions with useless questions.
Somehow that escaped me. Why would hey even make a chant about that
Because they don't have any Rooney questions this week.
Opposite for me. Thinking no news is bad news, if there was an estimated return date we should know by now. Nothing has been said so I assume they don’t know, which is not a good sign.
Horrible questions in general. I mean, cant you at least be prepared with one decent question when you are coming to a press conference.. First question itself was about some momentum we got from winning the league cup match last season against Sou'ton. What nonsense.
Thats not good.
Some people are sicko's.
Cold balls and hot balls
Well given the fact that Pogba was dancing in his latest video, I'd say his injury doesn't look bad.
The lack of a straight answer regarding Pogba leads me to think it's not that serious and he'll be back sooner rather than later. Especially when you throw in the daft dancing video.
So obvious Jose knows the extent of Pogba's injury. Use your heads. He was injured over a week ago and the team doesn't know the severity of it? Come on. If our medical people haven't figured out the extent of our best player's injury in over a week they all need to be sacked.
IMO clear classic Jose tactics, he knows he can get through Southampton, CSKA and Crystal Palace without Pogba then there is the international break which Jose will use this injury so Pogba isn't called up and he'll make a surprise return for the game against liverpool.
Exactly. Pretty obvious that the next significant thing we'll hear is that he's returned to training during international week.
I think all this was obvious when he walked from the pitch. If it was a rupture he would not be able to stand on it. 3/4 weeks at most I would believe.
So Jose is not the big bad bully coach he was made out to be after all.
Seems like he is very big on attitude.
No matter how talented a player is, he has to have the right attitude to impress Jose.
That's a good thing.
I see Martial becoming a great if he gets his head consistently straight.
Football fans. Make a chant, think later.
Agreed. We will need him for Lfc away.
= 'I'm not telling you'... because he knows by now, exactly what time scale Paul is looking at.
It looked like one of those... 'I can do without this today,' press conferences. Maybe he'll look more interested in the embargoed bit we see tonight.
Jose is telling all the right things about Martial to up his price so that we could sell him in January or summer. If you are not convinced, read the Martial thread on Player Performances forum. Some lads over there are utterly convinced he is gone.
Good spot. Yeah, he'll use this as cover to stop Pogba joining France, no matter if he is fit or not.
He had a very messy break with his ex, and by the sounds of her testimony, was having trouble dealing with the increased fame and status that comes with being a very rich Manchester United footballer.
Hopefully he has now adjusted to his very fortunate reality and can cope with all the naked booty pics that his admiring gold digger female fans send him via instagram.
I think he must be actually unavailable for tomorrow's game, or Jose is willing to risk more than usual. Quite possible he could return next week but as you say, no point in that and then sending him to play for France. My only worry is that they might try to call him up anyway.
Martial is either starting or coming on as a sub in every game we play right now.
Could it not be that Jose is gradually increasing his game time?
Remember, Martial is still a young player and is coming off the back of a poor/average season. This season, he is playing much better...no doubt about that.
Who was that stupid journalist ?
Separate names with a comma.
