Followed United since the mid '90s, here's my ranking for only the main strikers:
    1. Ruud Van Nistelrooy
    2. Andy Cole
    3. R. van Persie
    4. Rooney
    5. Ibrahimovich
    6. Saha
    7. Chicarito
    8. Berbatov
    9. Lukaku

I think Lukaku is the worst United have had (in my following time) as the main striker. It just feels so strange, seeing a United main striker with attributes like him. He has time on his side to prove me wrong though.

Ffs Lukaku is clearly better than Chicharito.

Though I'm not surprised to see people immediately criticise him given this thread was coincidentally opened in the middle of a game where he's missed chances and while player performance threads are locked.

He's a far better finisher. Neither are great footballers. Lukaku has strength over him & is more of a leader.

As a striker though, Hernandez is more useful.

Lukaku is one of the huge reasons we are so shit! This guy does nothing a top striker should. He will score 20 odd goals a season but very few vital goals or game changers. Tonight's sitter plus the decent chance at 0.0 at Brighton show he simply isn't good enough

Despite this thread probably being reactionary in basis, what's your reason for saying Lukaku is clearly better than Chicharito, as far as Manchester United hierarchy is concerned?

RVP and RVN are the best strikers I've seen at the club. We need to get rid of the bus and get another van
