So he goes there. earns more than he makes here. also, has a much better chance of actually making the team.

Then, We're actually hoping he doesnt settle there and can buy him back. Needless to say, we'd have to then pay him whatever Roma were paying in the first place + something extra.

Doesnt really make much sense to me tbh. If we rate the lad highly enough to go through all this hassle, might as well pay him a bit extra and keep him here now itself rather than running the risk of him having his head turned.

That said, if he is to move for sure, A foreign club is our best bet. I'd be very interested to know what has actually transpired in the past week or so regarding his contract though. strange.

    Thanks.

Okay - here they are. I claim NO credit for these as another twitter user posted them - just reposting them here as you may not be able to find them on Twitter.

 as if those are real.

Nobody who is actually in a position to be privy to that kind of information would be dumb enough to post screenshots of their conversations online.

Is that not the FootballAgent guy off twitter? Wasn't he saying that City had offered Morrison £50k a week, to which Morrison replied that it was bullshit basically?

Those convo thread pics are incredibly easy to fake. I remember a few quality ones in the Sneijder thread.

    Twitturd sucks ass.

If he makes the first team there he will develop quicker I believe and at that point he'll be of much more use to us and we can then move him into a proper 1st team player remuneration structure.

He won't settle there. If you have lots of problems they are NEVER solved by changing countries - you basically take the problems with you and because you are in another country they are amplified.

I dunno. I do - but as I said I take no credit so want no discredit either. Make your own opinion - I'm not in a position to argue.

Personally I think it's real as the timing of everything is bang on and it came from a (slightly) more reputable source on Twitter (none of the football agents ITKs).

    But your guess

I'd be stunned if that was real, not first choice and his agent doesn't think he'll last two minutes. If SAF is to believed we've offered him a contract, why shouldn't we be first choice?

Yes but if he doesn't want to go to Roma where would we come in the choice stakes, I don't believe these rumours. A choice of Roma, Newcastle and Manchester United should be a fecking no brainer really.

Looks like a lot of mocked up horseshit to me. Not saying Morrison won't end up at Roma, he might, but I don't believe that exchange is genuine.

Doubt this will happen. Seems like just another explosive rumour that has gotten out of control. We're going to have to get used to that sort of stuff with a controversial player like him.

well if all this is bullshit surely he'd have come out and tweeted that he's staying or something. of all the shit twitter could be useful for, and he can't even use it to calm to fans hoping he's sign..

Have a feeling He's off probably, not to roma or city perhaps, but he's off...

My feeling is that he's pissed off yes. I think that he will act on how he feels rather than the long-term prospects of what is good for him. But that also if the circumstances were correct (for him) he would stay. I think he wants to stay. I reiterate that I know nothing however.

I'm going to trust United on this one. They'll let it play out and see how far he goes. They'll let him leave under the right circumstances for United - which will possibly also be the right circumstances for him. Anyone seriously think that Roma pay players yet to break into the first team much more than United will offer him?

Promising though he is he'd have to get used to a completely different language, culture, people, players, football club, football & league. I think that's all a bit much. Which is why not only are possibly the dressing room having a laugh - when I heard this rumour I lold on the train. Everyone looked up and wondered what in the hell I was laughing at.

Sure a wry grin appeared on SAF's face!

If this is his agent working to get more money - which many people, myself included, believes - then doing what you suggest would be working directly against this. He might as well just fire his agent then

Let's sell him, adding buy-back clause like Barcelona do, or 40% future sell-on fees or something.

The idea that his 'unrealistic demands' are actually related to playing time and not finances is becoming louder. Worth noting that Fergie never mentioned it had anything to do with money, just that some demands were unrealistic.

deep down, i still think that his attitude is the major stumbling block. I noticed that when he came on vs Palace, he kept using those fancy flicks when his team was losing. i dont think fergie appreciated that

Yes he might have - but he still created more after he came on than the team did in the rest of the game

Fergie's mantra has always been "express yourself.'

And his flicks and tricks resulted in multiple opportunities.

That's silly. Ronaldo did about 5 step overs after coming on his debut and actually fell during one attempt. This is Fergie and Manchester united, not mourinho and chelsea.

Heck, even Giggsy keeps trying all sorts of silly things every game that don't come off. Even when he has a great game.
