My favorite goal of his. If Berba and Owen both leave, I wouldn't mind SAF giving Ruud a call as a 5th option...gotta get a 4th first, though.

I remember he used to put his penalties at the same spot. All keepers knew it, but could not save it.such was his precision.

I love him, wouldn't mind seeing him as a coaching capacity here. RvN at his peak in this team would've been absolutely amazing.

Beat me to it, definitely would like to see him spend a season cutting his teeth in coaching with us. Maybe he will scout for United like Stam does.

I still miss Ruud to this day, I just loved watching him play. One of the best we've ever had at the club in my opinion.

His hold up play was superd and his ability to get into the perfect position to score were in a different league.

What a striker this man was. Go well Ruud. If only we had a more balanced team when you were around and won more.

Terrific player, one of the most prolific strikers ever. It's a shame his spell with us ended the way it did, but I'm sure he will be remembered by United fans as a true hero.

    Good luck Ruud!

Brilliant striker, his hold up play was exceptional, very strong on the ball, excellent close control and boy did he know where the goal was!!!

(Not sure why someone called LFCTommy would make this...)

"When you play for this club you have Manchester United on your brain 24 hours a day."

    Ruud van Nistelrooy

    Came along and then this:
    Stam out, Blanc in
    Barthez being a clown
    Keane injury
European failures (though Ruud banged in the goals)
    Beckham out, young Ronaldo in
Bad midfield signings (hindsight of course)
    Solskjaer injury
Saha joins (they were amazing the first few matches together)
    Rio suspension
    Chelsea spending spree
    Giggs and Scholes struggled
    Keane aged, then released
    Chopping/changing in midfield and defense
Put in at least one transfer request to Real
    Fallout with SAF
    Still scored goals when played

So hard to pick out my favorite goal of his, but it's got to be between the one on Rooney's debut, the one against Basel along the byline, the one in blue against Charlton and the Bergkamp-esque touch against Leicester.
