I wouldn't call what he did hitting, he lashed out a bit.

Having just lost a game, and having some random guy in your face gloating, its very frustrating.

Probably ban the fan for attacking Aguero's fist with his face.

He's just lost a game and some silly pitch invader had grabbed him to take the piss. He was well within his rights to knock the guy out.

He is a snide cnut when things don't go his way. Remember kicking out at Luiz on 2 occasions in the past? Deserves retrospective action.

Cantona's ban as precedence? It is the exact same after all.

I wonder how Pep's Spanish doctor can help a long term ban?

The pitch invader had grabbed him and he was getting him off!

I can't stand Aguero but he's in the right here.

Having seen it again it was more of an aggressive push. Shouldn't have done it, but the fan is asking for it given the circumstances.

He won't, they wouldn't dare. He'll get a police fine and they'll treat it like an altercation in a night club.

    I can sympathise - but can't condone.

Lots of match going football fans are imbeciles that behave without responsibility.

I think there is a definite issue with supporters being able to get so close to players in these instances and there's a real prospect that they can be at the very least threatening - and at worst, dangerous.

If another player does that to him, and he swings out like that it’s a red card and three game ban. It won’t be any different because it’s a fan.

Cantona jumped into the stands to attack a fan. Aguero had been grabbed by a pitch invader. It's not remotely the same.

Can never condone violence but feel like the circumstance mitigates some portion of it.

Wigan fans are rightly jubilant but running onto the pitch like fools, goading players who are already in the heat of things is almost bound to have responses like so.

The running back after him will probably get him done. That was really silly.

Nothing like the same. Cantona attacked a nob in the stands where Cantona had no business being whereas Aguero lashed out at a nob who had no business being on the pitch and that's why he shouldn't be punished.

Yes that's ban worthy right there. You can argue all you want about being provoked but when you go after the guy looking for more there is no excuse

He has to get banned for that. He struck him with a back hand/arm then chased after him ffs .

On the other hand in the defense of Cantona, Evra and Aguero (even though feck him and City). Opposite fans are dickheads and probably always deserve it when they're assaulted.

Don’t see an issue with what Aguero done.

Fan shouldn’t of grabbed him on the pitch.
