Mourinho copped a lot of flack for his handling of Shaw but Shaw himself says it's helped him. What say those that said his treatment of Shaw was bullying/not becoming of a United manager/uncalled for?

Fair play to him. This won't make headlines because it goes against the narrative but Mourinho's tough love has paid off. I think it usually does. I really hope Shaw can keep it up because there's clearly a lot of talent there and he's still very young and integrated into the club.

Seems like a great example of Jose developing a young player. Still early days though.

It’s obvious Jose has bullied him into saying this, disgusting!

What will make of a difference ? The media will swap this under the carpet, and Mourinho out fans will say he's lying to get his Mourinho's trust and keep playing while in reality he despises him and is playing well because he knows a new manager is coming soon.

Meanwhile, Woodward has just signed a contract extension as he is feeling confident he will outlast Mourinho whose days are numbered

Of course he would say that... what else would you expect from a young man with Stockholm syndrome?

dont believe in his form yet. Coincidence that he's started well during his final year of contract ? I'd give him an extension of only couple of years with performance money attached and a much better deal extension next year December. Show trust in him but also send a message that he needs to keep up.

I've totally changed my mind about Mourinho now. He's great with young players and public criticism is brilliant.

What a creep, I think somebody should tell Luke Shaw that if Ashley Young hadn't have gone to the World Cup he(Shaw)would still be on the sidelines crying himself to sleep at night after sticking pins in a Mourinho voodoo doll

More public criticism!! Shaw proves it works. Just takes about a year or two!! 2020 will be Martial’s year you can quote me.

Ok you dont like Mourinho, fair enough. But I just don't understand why do you have a need to pop in in a rare positive thread about him and write sarcastically just to prove for the 50th time you hate him. It's just strange.
Why do you think Shaw said it. He decided after 2 years Jose helped him or he had some problems with himself and decided to prove his worth.
I guess there's not a single positive thing about Mourinho if someone asks you.

I don’t recall him saying that in the video. Said he has been through a tough couple of years and that he has always felt he is mentally strong or had to be to go through what he has gone through also mentioned he was seeing or had seen a psychologist.

I’ve got nothing against Mourinho to be honest. He does things good he doesn’t think he bad. I just don’t believe his man management of Shaw was something that should be applauded but your right i’ll Shut up.
