It's great to see these 3 get it together and practically carrying this team at the moment. All have had their issues with the manager, but funnily enough are probably keeping him at his job at this moment.

With Shaw tied down, I hope we can do the same with Marti and make sure Pogbz is happy to play his football here. Could be our left side for the next 5 years +

It is looking good. Even Shaw's getting goal scoring opportunities.

Now to sort out our right side. If Dalot makes it that'd be grand, just need a top RW to sort it out.

This is our best hope of success, this season and beyond. So key to get Martial signed up and Pogba happy.

It's just a shame our other side is so utterly toothless. Imagine if we could get similar quality on there too.

Fair chance two of them want out so I wouldn’t start talking about the future too much.

Funny how like 5 months ago there was a real possibility that all 3 would be gone

While there are plenty of fire power coming from this trio, we lost our 1st goal coming from this side.

All three are willing to make that 3rd man run. Shaws touch and weight of pass is superb for a left back, and Martial and Pogba in close quarters are as good as anyone.

The side thats saving Joses job. Weird how he isolated all three of them. Shaw would've been gone in the summer. Martial would've gone for Perisic if not for Woodward and Pogba-our best player will probably leave in the summer. The players are putting the shift in right now but as soon as its a bad result the blame will go directly to them. Players do take blame but so does the manager. Yet Jose thinks he can say three hail Mary's and be absolved off blame because Woodward didnt him a CB. The point being if we dont make top 4 thats Pogba and De Gea gone. Martial will soon follow.

2 out of the 3 will be gone within 3 years. Quote me on this in my own thread.

True. Hopefully we sort out Martials contract asap, I think we will. Pogba I think would stay with a managerial change, but would leave if Mourinho stays.

I feel that the situation with the other two can change. Martial does have an affinity with the fans and has possibly one of the reasons why he even bothered to stick around for this season, and most of the noise coming from Pogba has been with regards to our style and approach - both of their issues with the manager at the centre.

Not to turn this in to another Mourinho thread, but if this does turn out to be his final season with us I see no reasons why we can't have these two committed for the long term. It can of course easily go the other way.

That combination looked great earlier against Everton in Jan this year and I thought the same at this time. Hopefully they keep playing with each other and build good coherence between them.

If not for the conscious decisions to play Young and Sánchez out on the left we could have been seeing this for a long time now.

Martial and Shaw make for a cracking pairing.

Totally agree. Shaw is solid going forward but needs help in defending the wing which he is now getting from Martial's increased work ethic.
Martial is our most skillful attacker and Pogba has every desirable physical attribute, strong, tall, two-footed, excellent touch and Scholes-like passing range.I cannot wait for Pogba to start showing some maturity.

You think leak happy Utd wouldn't have told the world by now? Or if Jose would stand for that?
Liverpool lose today and we are 6 behind them. Its not a good idea to start playing attractive, winning football if they want Jose gone.

I can't think of many managers who fire blanks towards the CEO and ends up surviving to tell the tale. The only one I can think of who went toe to toe against the major shareholders and survived was SAF. He survived the whole ordeal because no one would dare killing the goose that lays trophies. Mou is not SAF. He lacks the record, he lacks the loyalty the team had towards the legend and on top of that he couldn't stop winning (ie the real stuff not mickey mouse cups)

Pogba was great attacking from the left, you could see bits of his Juventus form. Probably because he had Herrera and Matic in his back. Let's hope these 3 will be with us for many years to come!

What blanks? Where's the war? I'm lost here?
If anything, Jose has been diplomatic with how the summer went to the tune of reports saying he'll be backed in the January market.

I think the constant jabs towards our inability to add his annual big signing CB were quite clear.

Regarding your second comment. Only time can tell if its true. I can't see United spending huge amount of money and if they do then it will be on a safe bet. Someone no new manager would look at and say that we wasted our money upon.

I’m still not convinced with Shaw yet. We’re still letting goals in against stupid teams. You can’t ignore that a good portion of them come from the left side either.

Agree, but since Shaw has gotten a run of games we've looked good in attack on the left. He connects well with Martial. Our attacking impetus has improved markedly with them and Pogba down the left.

This needs to stop. They are doing their own fecking jobs. Not doing any favours for Mourinho or whoever. They work for us, and Shaw in particular is saving his own job, and if/when Martial signs a new deal, he would have earned that for himself.

Martial shouldn’t keep being referred to as ‘saving Mourinho’s job’ by being an effective forward player. That’s his job.

By the same logic its Mourinhos job to be an effective manager and he constantly cripples us. First with the comments about players, safety first tactics and isolating our best players. He needed to be effective to earn the contract he got by leaking news PSG wanted him? Was he?
