England V France - tonight - 9pm UK (on BBC red button)
    USA V Germany - tonight - Midnight

It's a round robin tournament between those 4 teams played over the week.

Needs a great name like the Carabao Cup really.

Women's football hasn't really hit those sponsorship giddy heights yet.

England go one up - Duggan (Barcelona) scores. Deserved lead.

England's are playing well, and maybe France are playing badly.

    And it's 4-0 now

Table for the first two tournaments combined:

So England have now doubled their wins and more than doubled their goals scored.

Any goal scored outisde the 6 yard box is a screamer. Can't be doing with womens football. Similar to when womens tennis players wanted the same money as the men but were nowhere near as exiting to watch.

Well a very good result for Phil, and an excellent all round performance, 4-1 win, but really it should have been more than that!

Not sure if France picked a full team? But that's a massive result for England

France are going through a bit of a transition period at the moment, but still this was a huge result, against a team that we definitely do not tend to do well against.

France are missing loads, it's an absolutely awful squad for them. Nowhere near the level of 3/4 years ago anymore.

Germany squad also pretty average for this tournament.

I just saw the highlights for this, or should that be lowlights. The French defending was like you see in Sunday local league matches. I know Women's football is not good, but this is ridiculous.

England kick off against Germany at 8 (BBC Red Button) I put the USA V France game on at 5 because i couldn't handle any more of that dreadful Chelsea showing. finished 1-1, great result for us as long as we can take advantage against Germany tonight.

The final match of the tournament:
USA v England at midnight on BBC2
is also, effectively the title decider.

England drew with Germany on Sunday night and the USA drew with France. France are currently leading Germany 2-0 in their final game.

What does that mean? England are top of the mini-League (on goal difference) at present with 4 points, USA also has 4 points. France will have 4 points if their match with Germany doesn't change. Germany will be bottom with one point.

Like I say - Phil Neville and co could win a trophy tonight.

I watched the second half vs Germany the other night. They really should have won, missed big chances and comical defending gifted Germany a goal.

Let’s hope they can beat the US as winning against the biggest team names in the game will be a boost, despite some of the squads being depleted.

    Anyone watching?

Bloody hell it's end to end, high intensity. England actually playing some decent stuff.

Still a bit too blood and thunder but they're up for it.

Yep. I've been without water for 8 days, phoned the water board up and they're sending someone round now. Watching this to pass the time.

That's a god awful name. Has American marketing all over it.

I just had flashbacks to the WC.

It's been bloody sloppy from England so far. 2 good saves from Bardsley keeping us on terms at mo.

Now that I watched more than the 5 mins after I commented..it's fun to watch and it's not like the players are bad (good touches, passing under pressure etc) but there's not a lot of composure and quality in terms of end product. Everything is like 100mph to get the ball forward and into the striker.

Lol and there's an England own goal there.

Yeah, I agree - whenever I watch womens football (which is incredibly rare) it's an alright watch.

I watch every England international that i can and i really enjoy it, it isn't for everyone but sadly it is one of those sports that a lot of people feel the need to tell you that they don't like it for some reason. I don't think there has ever been a womens football thread in history where at least 1 person felt the need to enter and tell you they think its shit. I just got to the point where i think 'oh, thanks for entering a thread about something you don't like to tell everyone you don't like it, that's ummmm very pointless of you, dickhead'

    Alex Morgan

I'm surprised by the quality of the one-twos, passing under pressure, first touch and link up play in the small pockets of play. The problem seems to be when the pitch is opened up, it's a bit kick and rush.

I enjoyed the 2015 World Cup. Thought Japan were absolutely brilliant technically and thought they would be too refined for USA in the final but then they got blitzed by their direct play.

Good game but surely there are way better names for a cup than SheBelieves cup? reading it makes me want to slap the organizer in the face for picking such a shite name and congratulate him right after.

With Taylor and Duggan in the squad i have no idea why Neville is insisting on starting Ellen White on her own up top.

Yeah, the quality of football on show is alright! Though it's mainly from the USA, sadly.
    Welcome!
I think I'd be a bit hypocritical in saying that because I'm sure I've done that in regards to TV shows in the past. Regardless, I agree with you - so shame on me, too!

I ended up watching the 2015 WC & comparing it too much to the men's game, & was overly critical & kinda childish towards it. Watched a tournament last year with a more open mind & thought it was pretty class.

Saddened I've not had the time to follow this tournament, but hopefully I've turned up in time for the best bit :D

That number 21 for the US is a big lass
