So, I stuck a fiver on United at 100-1 for the league

I thought that if we beat Newcastle, the 100-1 odds would come tumbling down.
It’s still 100-1. I’ve put a fiver on it. A good chip dinners worth.
IF we have somehow got that spirit back in the team after the comeback from 2-0 down, we could unite as a team.
We win the next 3 games (not impossible), we could be on for a challenge.
I don’t think Liverpool and City are as good this season. They are going to hit a bad patch.
    100-1 was way too tempting!

Newcastle are arguably the worst team in the league with the most problems off the pitch. We were at Old Trafford. Beating them means pretty much feck all, especially considering how shite it was for most of that match...

You lost $5 basically. I wouldnt out money on us finishing top 4, title is impossible for us in our state.

Remember when we came back from 2-0 down at Etihad and then we lost at home to West Brom the week after?

Being 7 points off in October is not a long shot IF we had a half-competent manager.

    That’ll be 5 English pounds.

The international break could actually be great timing for us this time.
    Regroup, rethink and move on.
    Only 7 points behind...

We can still beat City's points tally from last season, too, wonder what the odds are on that?

It’s actually mad when you think how easily we pissed away points against Wolves and West Ham. Absolutely no need to be in this position.

Looking at the table now, however, and I genuinely wonder if we’ll do better than sixth.

I thought something would have been built by now, that machine. Maybe yesterday can be the catalyst that wakes everyone up but I’m not optimistic now.

Only 7 points behind is the attitude if we change manager IMO. Already 7 points behind this soon if we keep Mou..

If there is one thing bookmakers love more than favourites not winning it is people backing impossible things at ofds that look too large. And no, Leicester winning in 2016 does not change that.

So you created a thread to tell everyone you've jinxed United from winning the league?

To be fair, 7 points is more than do-able if we could be consistent.

The latter is what we can't see happening. We seem to be only a game or two away from a bad result these days.

I think it would be an easier win to predict two scores correctly. Put a double on and you will quite often exceed 100-1 odds. Sometimes I put a quid on a fivefold (correct scores). Slim to no chance but better than doing the lottery.

Seven points behind this early is huge because we haven't even played the tougher games. Our margin for error is so little we're one more early season draw or loss away from top 4 being practically difficult

That is a fiver gone, we can fight for Top 4 provided we can sort our shit together but even that's looking unlikely. City will steamroll everyone to a successive title.

He just needs United to go on a run of Winslet 6 wins to be able to profit on the bet. As long as it was placed on an exchange.

Just beat Chelsea and city and we're rocking really. Easy peasy

Wow. I can’t believe I’m alone on this! 100-1 is silly odds for a team and manager that have recently won the league.
I don’t believe that our problems are so great that they can’t be fixed with some tweaks. We finished 2nd last season and teams are actually playing against City this season.

This is the tiny little thing people are missing!
We haven't played the best 6 or 7 teams away yet!
