Fantastic goal by Sergio Pizzorno, a lead guitarist in a band....over David Seaman.

Teddy Sheringham plows into Gordon Ramsey.....

    Seaman gets lobbed again

Seaman really was born without any spring whatsoever, bless him.

Lobbed by Sergio from Kasabian now, he joins an illustrious club that includes Ronaldinho and Nayim.

There were some glorious Stam moments, including a surging run and him absolutely demolishing Olly Murs. Hopefully they'll emerge on youtube soon.

Seaman let it in I think, at least didn't try too hard. Fingers weren't outstretched.

    Great goal though

Is Gordon Ramsey okay now after being flattened by Sheringham?

It's what people may have expected from the likes of Andy Carroll, not some rocker in a charity match.

Will we ever have anything quite like that in our line-up again?

I think Sherringham was a bit over zelous to be honest...not really in the spirit. I wonder if someone put him up for it....? Maybe a restaurant owner with a grudge!!

10/11 years ago that was the match won already.

Hope they don't invite Sheringham back.

What he did to Ramsay in a charity match was truly pathetic.

No, it was a pro going out his way to clatter an amateur because of a petty scuffle with Paddy McGuinness.

I don't think anyone could pretend it was merely a clumbsy tackle when he dived into him without any intention of taking the ball.

Dived into him? He came across to attempt to get the ball, Ramsay shielded an they collided and fell over, it was hardly malicious or an intent to harm.

Wasn't the best tackle but you wouldn't expect one from a striker. 99/100 no harm would of been done, Ramsay's knee problem has probably flared up again.

    Good response, well done.

On the red spec's part I never really liked Sheringham that much, I'd still be putting the point across had it been Phillips or Le Saux etc.

I thought it was a bit twattish too just to bother making that challenge in a charity game, but he's not exactly used to playing against someone who's knee will crumble on impact with the turf.

I don't recall Sheringham apologising much, either.

Taylor: "Serg will have that memory of scoring at Old Trafford for the rest of his life."
Clive: "How many did you score at Old Trafford?"
Taylor: "I'd need to get back to you about that..."
Clive: "Is it one less than Serg?"
    Taylor: (pause) "I was a full-back."
    Clive: "He's a guitarist."

A rare moment of quality from Clive, there. Very much within the spirit of the game/occasion.

It was total thuggery from Sheringham. Twattish thing to do in a friendly. Especially when he's up against aging/unfit amateurs.

Ramsey is such a cock though. Hard to feel sorry for him. Even when he was being stretchered off, sucking on nitrous. Presume he's ok?

    yeah, just clumbsy

People can say that wasnt a deliberate attempt to take him out, but I know, and they know thats nonsense ;)

I don't like Ramsay, but I think he has problems with his knees (well, it would explain why one was heavily strapped). So, it wasn't the brightest thing to do.
