Surely more than 6 leaving seeing as Valencia and Herrera already gone, darmian must be a guarantee.

If we think mata, Pogba, lukaku, Martial, sanchez, rojo, Jones, Fred, Matic would surely all be considered for sale for half decent offer, 6 seems an underestimate at this rate.

    David Neres - €50,000,000
    Wilfred Ndidi - €60,000,000

    ------------------------------------
    Total - €285,000,000

    Players out:

    Marcos Rojo - €7,000,000
    Matteo Darmian - €10,000,000

Yeah, you're right. This makes too much sense and is too much money to happen.

Don't think lumping it to Fellaini and defending for dear life (from 1st min) vs lower league teams was/is going to win any team a title against city.

It should be closer to 16 - DDG-cash in while he has a high value, Valencia-already gone, Young-get rid, Darmian-at last, TFM-not good enough, Jones-please do it, Smalling-likewise, Rojo-Can't believe he's still here, Matic- legs have gone, Herrera-jumped ship, Fred- what went wrong, Pogba- wants away, Perriera- not good enough, Mata- past it (2 years ago), Lingard-offers nothing, Lukaku-not a United player, Sanchez-what a waste of money, there you are, 16 easy!

We need to get rid of more than just 3, and good luck getting a fee for Matic.

Shaw can leave? Player of the year. Right. Off you go Luke. Not reasonable.

Who would you get rid of? I only included the ones I think we can get a fee for.

Asking price for vd Beek is 75 mil, probably will get him for 60-65.

There’s just too many to sell in one window, assuming Mata is released as well that’s 3 gone already. Sanchez, Rojo, Darmian, Pereira and Bailly barely play and must all be for sale.

Then you have the players who might want to leave, Pogba, De Gea, Lukaku and Martial. I would imagine we must be looking at 6-7 out at least and some academy players will have to fill a couple of the gaps.

Most of the rest of squad probably survive simply for another year because can’t sell everyone. Everyone at the club just needs to get on with it now as window will go quickly.

Yeah if Shaw can go, we literally, absolutely literally have no one who is safe to stay then!

Spending so bloody much and barely improving our attack would be criminal. Don't think it would change much overall for us.

Bravo. We had, at the time, the most trophied active manager. More than Pep. And we guaranteed a meltdown by pretending we knew what was better for the club.

This is such a pathetic retort. Especially considering how we in fact beat City away just last season. And that we just lost and drew against two teams relegated to the Championship just this month. It's one thing if you just say, Jose wasn't the right personality for United. But to question his managerial ability particularly at that time, is arrogant and stupid. No better than Woodward

So we won vs city after they've should been 6 up in the first half, Bravo. I would put a clap Emoji but we don't have that option here. How deluded you have to be if you think we could win the league vs this city by playing lump to the big man. But yeah beating city in a game where they should have been 6 up at HT is a sign we could have beaten them to the title......wait... are we forgetting [playing like cowards vs lower teams? Managerial ability of the highest order, Indeed.

Not sure whats pathetic about stating facts about a WC manager who played Coward style football while spending half a billion + 500k Sanchez and when things didn't go his way, he gave up and got the pay he wanted.

What a fighter jose was for United. Poor man had to manage United on loose change. If only he had a club where they gave him half a billion.

Jose was hit and miss in the transfer market for us,he brought some decent players to the club but also some duds,I agree he should have been backed as you highlighted above but something obviously went on behind the scenes and would probably have spent a fortune had he got his way.
Wouldnt be surprised once 10 years post Fergie arrives he will still be our most successful manager.

That's because we need to improve almost every position. I would love to buy a top striker and winger but unless we plan on spending a billion euros or go another season with Young as our RB it's not going to happen.

This is what I would like to happen.

    Out's:
    Sanchez - (negative) 15M
    Balliey - 25M
    Rojo - 15M
    TFM - 10M
    Darmain - 10M
    Herrera - Free
    Mata - Free
    Valencia - Free
    Pogba - 150M
    Lukaku - 60M

    Total - 255M

Would love to get rid of the following but wouldn't happen: Young, Smalling, Jones, Matic and Lingard.

    In's:
    Win Bissaka - 40M
    Škriniar - 75M
    Rice - 50M
    Tielemans - 50M
    Nidi - 50M
    Richarlison - 70M
    Sancho - 130M

    Total - 465M

    Total Net Spend - 210M

The players listed (sell) barely play for us now (minus Pogba), and in return we would get workhorses and proven EPL experience (minus Sancho and Škriniar). That midfield alone wouldn't require our forward players to track back that much. Also, we would be promoting the following to the full team: Greenwood, Tuanzebe, Gomes, Garner, Larid, Chong

Hate to bring up Bale but the rumour is he is being offered out for loan 10 mill and half his wages for 1 year.... if that is available I cannot see too many teams who would be able to handle the wages, it would be a no risk, no brainer for Utd if that were available to them, 20 mil in this market even if he only plays half the season minutes wise you have to think he would be worth 15 points at the least, which puts us right in 3/4th spot as we are, plus a superstar name good for PR and a statement of intent, if it doesn't work out at least it wouldn't be another Sanchez hanging around our necks, if it did work would probably be worth the 20 mil alone for CL qualification, PL places and comercial sales etc...

My current list of ever changing targets is:

    Wan bissaka
    Maguire
    Alderweireld
    Rice
    Ziyech
(Bale on loan, I see no problem with a loan and no commitment to buy especially if we lost sanchez. Bale is still a talented player and seems to be hard working)

Its disturbing that in this example we lose TEN players and STILL somehow have the quality of young Smalling Jones matic and lingard  how fecked are we. Agree with you though, they'll be too hard to shift

We are finally being linked to the right players. If we feck this summer up like last year, its gonna another unbearable season.

Get your finger out Ed, we need actual footballer!

We're normally linked with the right players. In fact, we are normally linked with just about everyone and their dog.

Getting Woodie to actually do the right thing is a different story.

Matic can easily fetch a fee if sold to the Epl club. The more we delay the more we lose out on a fee.

I hope your right but tbh I don't see him leaving, like a few of our players, although other clubs would be interested, it's the wages our players are on that puts them off, not many teams will pay the money we do, specially not to bang average players like Matic (now) Jones, Smalling etc, I know it's a different situation but if the papers are right this morning we are going to pay Inter to take Sanchez on loan!

We don't have CL football and, if you were an agent, you'd likely be advising your player to wait to see how United do under Ole now the positivity has drained away. That's unless we go out and overpay for average players, which is Woodward's MO

Personally think we should stop chasing big name players and make a large bunch of singings with the future in mind. Wan Bissaka, Doucoure, Rice, James, Tielmans etc. We will be nowhere near the PL title next season and CL will be a real battle so let's focus on building a team.

Martin Odegaard would be the best signing for this club.

    ----------- De Gea ------------
    - Dalot - Lindelof - Koulibaly - Shaw
    --- Pogba -------- McTominay---
    ------- Bruno Fernandes -------
    -- Pepe --- Rashford --- Odegaard

It finally feels that way, doesn't it? Likewise, there's real possibility that a lot of the 'deadwood' gets moved on or at least sent to the gone next season pile..

Very interesting. Hoping it's true. I'd be surprised if Matic goes to be honest. Was hoping at least one of Martial or Lukaku were joining Sanchez in the departure list.

Well we'll see how accurate the above is come end of summer.
