I used to, every year without fail going on the absolute piss for the day. It's an excuse for us Irish to go mad. At 28 now, I can't be arsed. I won't hold it against people who go mad though. It's a nice little day out if done right.

I think over the years it's getting a worse reputation in America and if I'm being honest it because those yanks can't handle their drink. Another fine example is the Super Bowel just gone. wtf was that about? Lightweights.

This year just gonna watch the parade and have a few quiet ones in a pub for the Ireland v England match. Have a fresh head to actually enjoy the extra day off in the weekend.

I always celebrate it and will continue to do so this year. It’s one of the most looked forward to days on the calendar for me.

I'm having a college reunion in Galway for it - so that's a bigger reason to go on the beer tomorrow and watch all the sports on the TV

Lost it's appeal to me nowadays. Long gone are the days of dropping some morning yokes, downing a pint of wine and heading out to enjoy some madness. Ruined by a new younger class that can't hold their drink and the countless faux Irish people around the World who also can't handle their drink. Probably just watch the rugby now, drop some acid after and watch some movies.

It's a pity really, every great drinking holiday us Irish have gets ruined in the end.

Yeah what happened to Arthur's Day? Kind of fizzled out there, need something decent to replace it...

    Fantastic.

I'll be disappointing that gentleman by crossing the border to Scouseland for my sins to get involved in the festivities. I'm sure Patrick's Day is a complete packet of bollocks for most proper Irishmen but for us fakers it's a good chance to get together and have a few jars that we're loath to pass up.

Will watch the big rugby game early and mellow out after that.
Generally not a good idea to head to the faux Irish pubs as it’s amateur hour all day long.

Feels like it was only worth going out as a student for this. Was great in Liverpool as there's a tonne of Irish.

    Current Events though?

Ended up attracting too much negative publicity to Guinness when thousands of piss-heads used it as an excuse to make absolute shite out of the place. We don’t deserve nice things.

The Super Bowl (not bowel) celebrations weren't about them being lightweights, they were about Philly fans generally being absolutely fecking insane.

Super Bowel is kind of relevant to Paddy’s Day tbf. An accurate description of what’s needed to handle an absolute feast of Guinness.

My bowels handle Guinness amazingly, especially compared to ales lagers and ciders. Always have a fantastic dump the next morning.

It’s also the best early morning drinking drink too.
