Bearing all the excitment of the upcoming euro champion held in Poland-Ukraine, it is also a shame that there are some the talented football players in the world who are unable to showcase their talent to worldwide audience. Hopefully it will be the last time, as from next euro championship onwards, the format will be expanded to 32 teams.

    Here are my list:

    1) Eden Hazard - Belgium (Chelsea-bound) - Attacking Midfielder
    2) Garath Bale - Wales (Tottenham) - Left Winger
    3) Michael Carrick - England (Man Utd) - Attacking Midfielder
    4) Rio Ferdinand - England (Man Utd) - Defender
    5) Vincent Kompany - Belgium (Man City) - Defender
    6) David Villa - Spain (Barcelona) - Striker
    7) David De Gea - Spain (Man Utd) - Goalkeeper
    8) Edin Dzeko - Bosnia (Man City) - Striker
    9) Branislav Ivanović - Serbia (Chelsea) - Defender
    10) Nemanja Vidić - Serbia (Man Utd) - Defender
    11) Frank Lampard - England (Chelsea) - Attacking Midfielder

    Pretty impressive line up. :houllier:

Missing the euros because your country didn't qualify isn't exactly... surprising. Nor through injury really.

There are probably a number of highly talented Spanish players that aren't going

Did you just put Michael Carrick as an attacking midfielder?

Adrian, Soldado, Alvaro dominguez, David Villa, Iraola, Herrera, Muniain to name a few

I'm surprised Pedro was selected after the season he's just had.

Seen yesterday when Austria won 3:2 against the Ukraine

David Alaba (19) organising the midfield and Marko Arnautovic (23) scoring two.

I know, I was pointing at the point of the thread and calling it silly. Making a team out of players who didn't make it who play for countries that did might be interesting though.

No point putting Vidic in because he has retired from the NT. Even if Serbia were there, he wouldn't be.
