    Wenger vs SAF

    Rafa vs Allardyce

    Rafa vs SAF

    Capello vs Sacchi

    Mourinho vs Guardiola

    Mourinho vs Wenger

    Clough vs Revie

    Cruyff vs Van Gaal

    SAF vs Kenny Dalglish

    Mourinho vs Rafa

    Mourinho vs Frank Rijkaard

    SAF vs Keegan

Which was/is the fiercest managerial rivalry we have ever seen? And of course, who is the undisputed 'most troublesome' manager ever (who got himself in more managerial spats than anyone else)?

Megson and Warnock definitely weren't the best of friends and that's putting it lightly.

Going off your list, which is about all I've got off the top of my head in terms of proper rivalry, I'd say SAF and Jose. They've both managed for a fair amount of time and have combative characters. I'd probably say Jose is the most troublesome as he's a terrible loser as well as seeming to thrive on daft antics.

I always hated playing against a Jose side, never had that when facing other managers, even not pep. But playing against Jose was bad, I am happy he is ours now.

Yeah I know the feeling. I've called him absolutely rotten too, when he was at Chelsea being a right cnut. Shows the fickleness of fans I suppose :).

Honestly speaking always loved jose as a manager, as an individual he can be a j*rk but now I see most of the managers are J*rk, so who cares. But Jose as a manager is really a special one.

Clough v. Revie by several orders of magnitude.

None of the others wanted or got each others' job. Ok, Capello and Sacchi, but the bile and outcomes are very different.

Fergie and Mancini got particularly heated in that 1-0 loss at the Etihad where we parked it and hoped for a draw.

They just kind of did this at each other a couple of times

Yes, that was a very nasty rivalry indeed. Jose pretty much had a spat with every rival manager in Italy back then. Plus the Italian FA, the refs, etc.

Clough hated Revie so much that many were shocked when he took over from Revie at Leeda Unites. Many believe he took up the job just to outshine Revie. Unfortunately, it ended up being the worst and shortest spell of his career.

Mourinho later admitted to destroying the pitch in Stamford Bridge on purpose in 2006 to stop us from playing our passing game.

The Wenger/Pulis and Wenger/Allardyce "rivalry's" are only based off specific comments/confrontations in past games. The media seems to use them against a way of baiting Wenger and Arsenal for not being "tough" enough rather than them being proper rivals.

    Pulis's record against Wenger is played:19 W5 D2 L12

    Allardyce's record against Wenger is played:33 W6 D8 L19

@Hayters Teamwork: Conte blasts 'obsessed' Jose Mourinho after the @ManUtd boss appeared to accuse him of “crying” over injuries and lack of squad depth. #CFC https://t.co/hkMIMJ22gI

Last night, Conte 'attacked' Jose for his comments about how managers moan about injuries. Conte (and a majority of the press) of course assumed that Jose was reffering to him. Undoubtedly, these two managers are not friends at all.

Was Jose really reffering to Conte? Did Conte go too far?
