I'm only surprised that they championed the Blackshirts.
If that's Sterling's history whilst in a relationship and they are still together then I can imagine it's not cheating. Not every relationship are monogamous and I suspect that with people that are high profile and constantly in the papers that the relationships are generally more open than what is considered normal. There are even completely fake relationships that are there just because of publicity.
Basically people shouldn't be judging something they know nothing about.
Nah, it's racism.
Rooney cheated, Beckham cheated, and both are still with their partners. It's not a rare thing. Women have been known to stay with men who physically assault them.
That they are still a couple doesn't mean that it's not cheating.
Yeah but neither of those have been slated in the media in the past, or made scapegoats for their country's failure. Because they are white.
Have any of them admitted that? Have their spouses?
People that stay with their spouses who assault them is a totally different thing to what I was saying.
I didn't say that anyone wasn't cheating but I wasn't going out and claiming that either without any proof like everyone else does. The gossip on here sometimes is horrendous.
Of course they both have. They burned Beckham toys etc after he got sent off vs Argentina
Backing this. It's more likely that media is confirming its own bias (ie defining a one-dimensional trope of somebody's personality and running it into the ground). That's the issue with media - it doesn't like complex characters but instead loves caricatures. Unfortunately human-beings aren't that simple in reality.
I'm not saying there isn't some kind of racial element coming into play but we've seen this so much over the years with Rooney. It's just dumb.
If something like this is reported about a famous, wealthy player, and it isn't true, legal action generally follows. There was no legal action from Rooney, Beckham or Sterling, to my knowledge. No stories were retracted, no apologies issued.
You can draw your own conclusion from that.
EDIT just checked, Rooney apologised in 2004.
Noone has come remotely close to what Beckham had to go through in 1998.
How long have you been watching football for? The Last two England players that have been made scapegoats are Rooney and Beckham...
Some of you really need to work on your sarcasm detecting.
The problem isn’t the cheating/polygamy/sexual liberty. It’s the despicable act of paying a prostitute for sex.
lol at the sarcasm bypass on this page
I get it. A few didn't.
I don't remember Craig Noone ever getting any abuse...
Do you mean "no one"?
hard to believe some moron went to the trouble of getting a sarong to go with that Beckham shirt
it's the most abuse I remember any player in the English League
made Beckham the player he was though
That's not true at all. You're just assuming things.
Beckham has sued but courts in the US have dismissed it as free speech. One paper even admitted to making it up. Beckham denied any wrongdoing so you calling him a cheater is just you believing News of the World over David Beckham "just because".
I don't know why these players don't use some of their spare money to find shit on the people that write for these newspapers and get it published somewhere.
Technically there's no degrees of being wrong. There's right or wrong.
But your post above would be the most ignorantly wrong, hilarious lack of knowledge I've ever seen on the cafe.
Stop trying to work your woeful "racism" agenda.
Please provide sources to support what you just claimed. When did Beckham sue with regard to what Rebecca Loos claimed? And why would he sue in the US? The story broke in 2004 when Beckham was at Real Madrid.
And I'm assuming things? Your original post:
That's nothing but assumptions.
No white text?
Interesting that all these stories are from The Sun and Mail though. The two papers who constantly seem to be commenting and what he has for breakfast, drives or buys his mum.
He's obviously a bit of an idiot in regards his relationship, but those papers definitely have it in for him. Sun have had to apologise for him in the past re accusations made.
Those aren't assumptions. That's me saying I can imagine a relationship being different. I'm not claiming it to be that like you claimed that celebs only sue when lies are being told.
I didn't say that he sued regarding the Loos thing. I didn't even mention that specific case. He lost the case in US because of the US free speech laws but won the same case in Germany. Same link also sources a settlement that they received from NotW.
In the case of Rebecca Loos you can choose to believe her, a woman who was a nobody and launched a career of being a media slag (who's closely related to Piers Morgan) because of this "tell all story" or you can believe Beckham who denies it. You can believe what you want but you can't claim that a person is a cheater based on hearsay. That's just bad manners.
Seems like The Suns bizarre obsession with our Raheem continues.
