I don't know what's wrong with those quotes... Harry's spot on.

Szczęsny has quit Twitter to "man up" and still can't shut up.

Chesney is hilarious and comes across as a very friendly and funny bloke, you should see some of the special interviews and stuff he's done.

Ofcourse he's right. Chesney has no place whatsoever to talk about Spurs and Chelsea's players, he should be more professional than that. As I said typical Arsenal mentality when they win two-three matches, they just turn into Arrogant gimps.

That still doesn't make Chesney right to comment. If he had commented over United, then the reaction here would've been different.

On missing out on the Champions League...

Let's not call him plain stupid considering some of the shite our manager spurts. Like Rio being unable to play twice in a week

Managers will say whatever they need to in order to get what they want, or in Redknapp's case here, try to soften the blow or "play down" the blow to his squad.

    Indeed.

But he has badmouthed the Europa League, now has a dig at the Champions League, what is he still doing managing Spurs?

To be fair that quote is out of context. What he was saying was that Champions League status is overrated when it comes to player recruitment. He said that Chelsea would still be able to attract players if they hadn't qualifyed for it next season, as long as they could still show ambition, offer big wages etc. It is a debateable point but he wasn't putting the competition itself down.

The obvious irony being that Modric will want to leave because of that very same overrated CL rather than a higher salary at Spurs. :houllier:

Might have been taken out of context but you have to know the man to know the mange tout. :D

Actually he was tapping up Mulumbu, the West Brom player, in that interview. The usual he's-a-good-player-but-we're-not-interested stuff.
