Interestingly (?) no real improvement in defensive record.

We have improved considerably but still major improvement needs to be done. For starter let us decide what football we want us to play. If counter attacking then rather than our defenders just humping the ball forward play smartly. We have to improve on winning the second balls and regaining possession. I don't think the tactics we use will work in every game in long term also.

I still back Jose 100% and feel his actual second season could be next one with him signing more quality players.

We have clearly improved in our results against midtable clubs, only lost 7 points to them, even though those 7 points were so frustrating.

We're far from being finished article and still need improvement, but compared to last season we're moving on the track in most of our problems.

Weird to think that despite scoring 17 more goals, what we've managed to do is convert 3 draws to wins. Feels like +17 goals should result in slightly more than that.

We all lost the plot the other night when we conceded with the last kick but we did the same versus Arsenal and Everton last season as well as absolutely wasting points against Stoke and Burnley, all before Christmas. We really could have had as many points this time last season.

17%! Conceding 3 less goals is significant for teams who typically rarely ever lose games by more than 1 goal, as it often means an extra 1 or 2 points.

Personally I think winning by a 4 goal margin should result in that team getting an extra point, and team who loses by 4 clear goals loses a point. Something like that.

I think it would immediately improve the game and we'd see more minutes of excitement in many more games.

That’s because the defensive record was good last year as well, they were just having a hard time scoring enough against shite opponents.

We're a better team this season? Who knew? I thought the sky was falling and Jose was off to Paris any minute now.
