Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City, Spurs could all qualify today if they win and other results go their way. So could PSG, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Juventus.

Dortmund and Monaco have just 1 point after 3 games and Atletico Madrid have just 2 points. Hope they win and make a late push for the knockout places.

Oct 31 and massive game for Juve this evening: win and we are through, draw and keep going until Dec, lose 1-0 or more and we are almost out. Sporting at home are a tough proposition, so game on.

Hope we do it tonight and we can then concentrate on Premiership.

As of now, if we were to finish second our next draw would be v Barca, PSG and Besiktas.
Given that Barca are stupidly reliant on Messi and he could be run into the ground by February, I actually favour this route rather than facing one of Napoli(maybe), Bayern, Madrid etc.
It is as of now I suppose.

Winning today is crucial. We need to reduce the gap with City which is 5 points currently.
Zlatan can also come into starting 11 in CL and gains match fitness.
    I'm expecting 3-0 United.

You mean by winning today in the Champions League, we'll be able to concentrate on the league and try and close the gap right?

Not that by winning tonight's game we'll close the gap on City?

Watching Roma-Chelsea today. Conte risks a lot against an in-form side.

He means if we win tonight, we can effectively play our reserves and those that need match fitness in the last 2 matches. I don't think Jose does that though.

Fair enough. Not the worst point to make. We could put the CL to vws tonight for 3 months.

Is he losing the locker room?

If not it it seems a bit unfair to get rid of him for not keeping overperforming at the level Juve has sustained under his tenure.

Bas Dost is finally in form and has scored 4 in the past 2 games, but our form as a team isn't great and we have injury problems (don't know if Piccini and Mathieu are back). A 1-0 win would be an incredible result for us and would leave us in a great position of knocking you out but I wouldn't be too worried if I were you. Even if we play better than you I doubt we'll win the game.

Anyone wanting to make money, bet on a Juve victory by one goal.

We qualify if we win tonight because Atletico and Roma still have to play eachother.

Why is that? He has just beaten Milan 2-0 comfortably only a few days ago and only three points behind in Serie A

If they played like they have done recently they could lose.

Very hard to keep going and motivate 5-10 new faces every year, he seems exhausted at times. Banking half season on Oct 31 was not his wish for sure, more to follow in a couple of hours. Not that Juve would do an Ancelotti to him, but Agnelli spoke of a new 2018-2024 cycle last week and if you see smoke there must be a fire.

So is Atleti planning on another draw with Q Bag tonight?

@ Santi - could it be the night Atleti joins you in the Europa?

Going to the stadium but i'm not very confident. I was after our away performance but with William Carvalho, Mathieu, Piccini and Coentrão out i think we have a 20% chance. It's a pity. If we were full force we would give them a competitive match again. André Pinto, Jonathan Silva and Palhinha will struggle in a match with this importance.

We have 4 very important players out. Specially Mathieu and Carvalho. Unfortunately i think Juve will be fine.

    Gameiro again? Meh.

Lewa is injured. James starts as CF.

Holy crap, I had no idea they were all missing. Yeah, there's no way we're going to win this.

    Ristovski-Coates-André Pinto-Jonathan + Bruno Cheddar starting

Allegri is the kind of manager forever unliked by the fans. Because he's very pragmatic

:( that starting eleven reminds me of pre season matches. Our Rio Ave away win had a high cost unfortunately

Conte pretty much with a starting XI that could slot in against United on Sunday.

Everyone's there, except Kanté, perhaps, still recovering.

Apparently we play Vidal as our CF today
And I can't begin to understand why Kimmich doesn't start (barring injury of course).

He is too good for his own sake, modern top flight football is 24/7/365 for merchandising purpose, you cannot lose a fecking friendly in July or 3-0 in mid Sep anymore

2nd screamer in 2 games for El Sharaawy.
