Hence the overzealous agenda posting.
As long as we avoid Real Madrid, I dont think Mou could handle a loss there..he would go Crazy-Chelsealosing-mode again
I've said this many times, Guardiola teams take part in a lot of gamesmanship. All of his teams pressure the ref, play for fouls, dive regularly.
Barcelona under Guardiola had the highest red card and penalty to possession ratio. Bayern Munich from 2008-2012 dominated possession almost as much as his Barcelona side but got nowhere near the amount of red cards or penalties.
Bayern, Juventus, Real Madrid, Shakhtar, Sevilla and Porto
CL to EL:
CSKA Moscow, Celtic, Atletico, Sporting, Spartak, Napoli, Red Bull Liepzig, Dortmund
Some of that lot look more worrying than some we could get in the CL.
Topping the group doesnt matter anymore does it? It used to be you'd get a favourable draw but now you could draw PSG/Mardrid, Chelsea could get Besiktas, Shakhtar etc.
Europa League looks like a lot of fun this season. Atletico, Napoli, Leipzig, Dortmund, Sporting, Milan, Lyon, Arsenal, Lazio, Zenit, Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad, Nice, Villarreal, Marseille, etc
Most certainly. He coaches it. He tells them to keep running and keep moving around in the box.
I am not saying they are diving. But he is systematic in his approach. Everytime they dominate possession, you can almost sense a penalty is coming, especially when they are putting pressure on the other team.
Look, I can understand why he does it. When you cant breakdown a team with 11 men parked like a bus, it is a way to make inroads.
The last few games they have been lucky though. Liverpool seem to be the in form team at the moment.

Poor Arsene. Complaints of them having it much tougher than we did the year we won incoming. He ll probably focus on that no. 4 spot in the PL even more now.
So long as they keep Bosz around for the laughs, I will follow Dortmund games in the EL.
Yeah, that's true. So if I recall we only lost two games at Old Trafford in 48 champions league game!
Uh. City tops their group meaning with 4 PL teams topped their group, Chelsea has big chance to face Barcelona, PSG. Besiktas may look weak on paper but they're no pushover. Away to Turkey is kinda inconvenient too.
I have no problem saying they dive, because they do. It's too much of a recurring theme among Guardiola teams.
Mourinho and Simeone play the clock when they are ahead as well; top managers always look for a way to get an edge.
Deportivo, Valencia, Levante (3)
Schalke, M’Gladbach (5)
Dortmund, Bayern (4)
Everton, City (4)
Not sure about CL, but City only had 1.
Basically, your assumption was pretty accurate.
Monaco and Dortmund ended up with just 2 points, less than fecking Anderlecht.
Two, as Aguero missed one at home against Donetsk. Though ironically they conceded 3 in total (all against Napoli).
Ederson made a mistake and it always going to happen some how considering the way he is out of his box totally, hope we attack him.
Dortmund were in a tough group but definitely expected better from them.
When is the draw?
I think you read what I meant wrong. I know Chelsea face big possibilities, but it used to be important that teams qualified top of their group and avoid trying to finish runner up. Now it doesn't really matter because finishing in either position your dealt with the same permutations because the strongest teams are now finishing runner ups which usually wouldn't be the case.
Monday morning I think
I suppose the big advantage of topping your group now is that you get to play the second leg of your tie at home
Main difference is 10 or 15 years ago there was only at best 5 to 6 really strong teams, now you have a group of more than 10 to 12 teams where ok you can say in the end it is always the same teams who win, but it is not so relevant today finishing first or second.
Ok still teams like Porto, Shaktar or Besiktas will be considered weaker, but they do have good players, coaching, and know how to create trouble to top teams, only problem for Shaktar is February/March they are in preseason.
Bayern under LVG sure didn't get many. They probably just passed it around in the own half like we did a lot of the time.
They dive a bit, but I am not sure he tells them to do it. Probably he more tell them to try to do everything they can to win at times.
Think we have only been in it twice though.
Is this really an advantage with the away goal rule?
There is a statistics somewhere around that quarterfinals to semifinals it is no advantage. And the round of 16 until last years seeding changes usually had an advantage for group winners that is not there anymore after the changed seeding.
no, this is the first time you qualified for the round of 16 since 2009, i'm not talking about groups stage.
Iam sure we have only been in it 2010 and 2015 .
He means they hadn’t qualified for CL much after 2009
The Shaktar manager after the match
Could be the start of a whole new trend.
And he still has more dignity than Moyes.
That's surprising because they did not reach often the penalty box, did not have brilliant dribblers and one didn't need to foul Messi and Iniesta to stop them. They were good at beating defenders but not that good. All these pens and red cards must be because they were told to dive.
Its standard, if you dont run into the box, you tend not to get fouled in the box.
Its why a lot of teams have been way out in front of of regarding penalty shouts over the last few years, because until recently we simply havent had players either running with the ball into the box, or breaking from midfield into the box.
City do it loads, so they get a fiar few penalty calls, fair play to them.
Really?!?! Then BOW BEFORE YOUR MASTERS
Do you understand the difference between groups stages and a round of 16? I said Liverpool haven't qualified for the round of 16 since 2009 until 2017 they finally qualified for the round of 16 knockout stages
Yes I do.
Do you understand that Iam saying that we only qualified twice for the competition since 2009 ?
Again, look up. You claimed that you've been in this twice before looking up at "round of 16" not the competition. I repeated it again but you still choose to ignore anyway.
Who said we've been in the ' round of 16 ' twice ?
Separate names with a comma.
