This is discussed basically every year in some form, but I find it astonishing that the likes of United aren't televised every single week. Baffling.

The rules in England are a mess.

This is due to the nonsense uproar from last year.
Away at OT is a massive occasion for a minnow and when that happens the broadcasters want to cover the "Magic of the FA cup" never mind when we're drawn away to said minnow.

I spent a year living in London (2009) and what surprised me most was how limited Sky Sports' coverage was

they are being held back by the FA. If they could show all the games, they would.

Well the Bournemouth game also ends the run of being able to watch every Utd game live on Irish tv as well.

Oh well. It'll be on telly all over the world, except in the UK. Because attendances or something.

It's because of all the whining last year. All that will happen is the game picked will have less people watching it than would've watched Utd and the next United game will be shown.

The new tv deals are just crazy making it harder to watch games. How can they gain something on that? I guess with casual supporters things get more exciting if it is rare so I can see the potential in that. It fecks like always over the serious supporters.

Streams are good though thanks for that :).

Hardly surprised, it's a beyond tedious draw for us, plenty of better games. Well done the FA for once, should have happened a lot sooner.

I dont see what the fuss is about being honest. So if Iam reading this correctly. United's past 58 FA Cup games have been on telly ? Their 3rd Round game agaibst Derby isn't ?

Reading are hardly some minnow, they played premier league fixture there in 2013.

I can understand when you draw the likes of Crawley/Exeter at OT why it's shown but just reasonably sized isn't a huge story as it's the sort of game a Mourinho team wins 2/3-0 with the minimum of fuss.

There are better cup ties. Merseyside derby, Hereford/Fleetwood v Leicester fits the bill nicely as does Forest Green/Exeter v West Brom and I'd say Forest v an under strength Arsenal would be the potential for a close game.
