    Nice work, lads! Agreed about the praise for Lukaku in recent weeks. He seems to have slimmed down and is no longer simply considered a hold up player. Ole is getting a lot right, and his confidence is clearly being passed on to a few of the players. I still think we look slightly better in attack, certainly for the home games with a three of Martial, Rashford, and Lingard. Lukaku and Rashford in a two limits Rashford a bit for me. But I'm happy for Rom to keep scoring and getting chances. Felt he was just unlucky against Arsenal (Leno had a Tom Heaton of a game).

    Playing a drinking game for every time the word 'fecking' is used would have you steaming after 5 mins. Can't think of a better way to describe it all though.

    Good podcast guys.

    I agree that the Roma and AC Milan games in 2006/07 are both ranked above the PSG game, as well as the 2008 final. I was only 5 years old in 1999, so can’t really comment on those games. However, I’d also put the Barcelona semi final in 2007/08 ahead of the PSG game.

    I think the main thing to take away from this discussion is that we’re extremely lucky to have had so many great nights in Europe!

    Ye the 'feck' count has gone up significantly since the return of @Stobzilla - should probably start ticking the 'Explicit' content box on the podcast app but feck it!

    In the grand scheme of things this victory is not that high up the list of our all time European achievements - going a bit further back you would add in a couple of classics vs Barca: '91 Cup Winners Cup Final and also the epic Robbo perfomance in 1984 when we won 3-0 after losing first leg 2-0 in Barca

    Not sure if we have anyone old enough on here to have seen any of the run to victory in 1968!

    Kids today, no respect ! :rolleyes:

    There used to be some proper old school reds on here - dont know which are still around to give a view on where this match ranks in all time European wins
    @BahamaRed @ukbob @Moriarty

    It has to be up there on AWAY victories, as even under Fergie our away record was not that great - excluding the finals I am just thinking its this or Turin '99

    For me, it was up there with Benfica away in 1965 and the Bernabeu in 1968, although the stakes in Madrid and Turin were much higher.
