Is it just me, or does anybody else couldn't be bothered by pre-season games? I can ocasionally watch a game or another, but pre-season games bore me to death.

It may just be you! By the time the preseason games come around most people are starving for football. Even in a world cup year im sure people will be eager to see how the team is shaping up plus it will be a good tonic for WC withdrawal.

Ehehehe, the age is catching up on me, I guess. Also, I'm usually on vacations on pre-season, so that might not help my interest either.

I just like seeing the new signings. It's gonna be worse than usual though because of the WC reducing pre-season time for our best players.

I get it. I'll admit I get more excited about preseason whenever United is in the states because I usually get to see a game or two live.

Hasn't he said he wants the WC players to be on some of the pre-season? Would expect them to play some games or the season is on us.

That match against Bayern takes place exactly 3 weeks after the World Cup final.

For Bayern it probably will be the season opening in the Allianz Arena and the World Cup players (if they reached the final week of the tournament - the ones that only make the group stage will start earlier) will attend but not play.

I'm so excited about the United v Liverpool game in Ann Arbor. My friend was kind enough to get me tickets.

That was nice of your friend. I hope you have a great time! I'll be going to the United-Real game in Miami

Good. The ticket prices for these games are really exorbitant. Greedy promoters are always looking to rip off American football fans.

Thinking of attending Liverpool-United. About a 3.5 hour drive for me. How many of the lads will be in the squad though?

Romero, Grant, JC Pereira or O'Hara, Darmian, Smalling, Bailly, Blind, Shaw, TFM, Tuanzebe, Mitchell, Dalot, Herrera, Mata, A.Pereira, McTominay, Alexis and Martial will all probably be in the squad alongside 7 or 8 untried youngsters

Take some boots, if you can play up front you might get a game ;)

Not to mention they literally lost on penalties to an English team in the 2012 CL final!

I looked into it as am in Chicago that week but tickets were a lot more than I paid for FA Cup final, which was a rip off in itself.

Take it you're not impressed with the signing ? Or do you Americans hang on to your youth a bit longer than us Brits ?

According to MEN, the team will fly out to LA on Sunday with our first game on Friday the 20th against Club America.

Assuming that is true, the official pre-season squad should be announced within this week.

Seems like it’s a secret. Strange that it hasn’t been revealed before they fly.

It feels like we are behind schedule other teams have started their preseason games already.

I was worrying about the same. Some other teams have already played 2 games and have been training for 2/3 weeks together. We have trained for 1 week and our first game isn’t to Friday I think? Hopefully we can hit the ground running, but it does seem like a delayed start. Also we won’t have the likes of Pogba, Rashford, Young, Lingard and Lukaku joining the squad for at least another 3 weeks - less than 1 week before the first game of the season.

Same - I was going to mention it last week but I didn't wanna come across as being impatient. I'm glad I'm not the only one whose notices.

First game is on Thursday night (in the states), not sure if a thread should be made or should the match day forum be open for it? @Damien

Preseason match threads go in the United forum.
