Oh dear. One player behaves badly and the whole continent gets shit for it.
Oh dear... a bit of generalising there from West Ham..
Can’t imagine Kouyaté will be too happy about that
Two players equals they? People are so uneducated, it's embarrassing.
The two Sakho's have bad attitude. That's it! Race or what continent they're from should not come into it. Fools!
Not for racist reasons but we think that race is trouble.
It's clearly very racist. Couple of bad experiences and you group perhaps a billion people together for it. Surely that's what racism is all about
Can't imagine he'll say too much. Doesn't want to be labelled with a 'bad attitude'.
He only mentions Sakho doesn't he?
Not that they're generalising or anything...
I laughed when I read the headline, what stupid thing to say. He’ll be sacked.
West Ham's admin is like Only Fools and Horses without the laughs.
Oh yeah thats right. For some reason I've read this part
as two different players.
My impression is that either players from Africa are extremely loyal and hard-working or they're rotten eggs. I don't know if West Ham has had bad luck or what, but 95% of the players from there fall into the former category IMO. They come from rough places and need to make money for their families. Usually very dedicated whatever their skills might be.
They’ve always been a classy bunch haven’t they. What can you expect from a club ran by the dildo brothers
Makes it worse really. They've had issues with one person and had a dig at a whole continent. Disgusting discrimination .
Yeah it does.
Poor Niasse has to read that.
Apparently when you say you are not racist, your racism is not racist.
He could have just dodged the question by saying he did not want too many players leaving for AFCON at once. What an idiot.
Quite ironic the article is from Daily Mail.
“In what way?”
In the most blindingly obvious way imagineable... really.
Well it makes a change from Chelsea, I suppose. Must be a London thing, what with Spurs n'all.
Even I read it like this. And I'm dumb as feck on these things.
There will be people suggesting racism and that may well be at play in this case, but how many United fans would have been against us signing anymore Argentine players after the problems with Veron, Heinze, Tevez and Di Maria?
Well the Dybala thread suggests otherwise.
United fans commenting on that as a idea of "well we've had bad luck on them" vs a club saying they are changing their policies because of how 3 players from a continent have acted during their time there are vastly different things, aren't they?
It's a summer competition now
It's the bleedin' English who are racist! The Wimbledon-watching, tea-drinking twonks...
I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest he might lose his job over this one...
Just to play devils advocate, I swear many people have said the same about Argentines at united, how they're trouble makers etc on this very forum.
Granted one is an internet forum and the other a professional club but same morals apply...
Edit: someone made this point above.
Very few I would think, it actually proves the point in that I assume your saying they all had issues at United due to some sort of spicy Latin temperament or some typical Argentinian trait...
The actuality is they all had very varied issues at United;
Veron’s was purely an issue with injuries and the style of the league.
Heinze was quality for us but showed the club very little loyalty in the end... not a great crime really.
Tevez, again brilliant for us, reportedly wanted to stay but we wouldn’t pay... not really his fault, all his actions after point at him being a bellend of massive proportions but I couldn’t put that down to his being Argentinian.
Di Maria just never wanted United, came at our lowest eb and proved himself as a bit of a fanny really.
Perhaps somewhat similar trends but nothing you couldn’t ascribe to dozens of United players, British, European, South American or otherwise.
In 2018 yeah, but right after Di Maria left and the previous problems with Tevez and Heinze?
Well to be fair West Ham the football club hasn't released a public statement saying that, only one employee is saying it.
I assume he'll be fired then, especially as his role actually is connected with player-recruitment.
Well yes exactly the problems we've had with Argentine players could have happened with any groups of players from many different countries. But we had particularly bad luck with Argentines, and i remember a fair amount of United fans saying we should just stay away from Argentines in future. And in 2015 especially when ADM left i reckon many would have probably shared that sentiment.
Off topic but thats a very generous summary of Tevez's time at United in my opinion.
Argentinos and Dortmund players.
Also Rojo seems to be doing okay at United. But yeah you're 100% right.
Lads, it's West Ham.
What race is argentina? Poor arguments there. if i dont want us to sign scottish players does it make me racist toward race white?
Those pesky Rhine-Wesphalian-Japanesian-Armenians. Did I miss any nationality?
Separate names with a comma.
