For anyone not interest in wading through his nonsense of an attempt at journalism highlights include :

•Too many Liverpool players to count would get into our team right now, mentioned Firmino, Coutinho, Lallana, Mané, Sturridge, Henderson, Matip and even Wijnaldum (wut)

•Says we are improving but our fans would love us to have as much flair as this Liverpool team

•Mourinho sacrifices flair for being solid, he will set out to kill the game on Sunday even though we're the home side. Goes on to say this is the easiest thing for a manager to do.

•Every United fan knew before Mourinho that Carrick should have been playing..

Liverpool's flair? What is that? All is see is Henderson running on his knees, that is not flair.

Indeed. It's more the bit where they've scored 17 more league goals than us.

Except for the first point, the rest are about right?

Pool are playing the best attacking football so far this season.

And we are fans of club who appreciate attacking football or something.

That paragraph is evidence that he hasn't seen United play since October 2016.

Nonsense article, like so many churned out by the media to get site traffic. ESPN is one of the worst. I wouldn't waste your time.

I typed Paul Parker into google. Got results such as

"'Peter Schmeichel was a coward': former Man Utd defender Paul Parker"

"Wayne Rooney Blasted by former Manchester Utd defender Paul Parker"

"Paul Parker: John obi Mikel is a better midfielder than Paul Pogba"

"Former Manchester United ace rages at Jose Mourinho: You've tarnished Fergie's legacy"

"Paul Parker: Jose Mourinho is a disgrace as a manager and as a Man"

    and my personal favourite:

"Man Utd should replace Louis van Gaal with Tim Sherwood, says Paul Parker"

That's a pretty good collection, in fairness.

He's still largely right, evidently by accident, this time.

    He is wrong mate.

United fans will not want those players in our team, Mourinho DID NOT sacrifice flair for solidity.

He's not entirely wrong on any of those. Debateable on some, but certainly not 100 % wrong.

Edit : About sacrificing the flair part, I disagree. It wasn't him playing defensively that cost us. Our forwards went on a bad patch of form, that's not on Mourinho. Maybe a little as he couldn't get the lineups right for various reasons.

    Nah, mate.

He's gone over the top in suggesting some of those players would get in to our team but the rest is fair enough.

Of course Mourinho sacrifices flair for solidity. That's quite a big part of why he's good at the whole 'managing football teams' thing. He prioritises results over excitement.

He's not totally wrong on some points but I hate when ex players come out and slate us, even Keane. Regardless of if they are right or wrong with their statements they had the honour to play for our club and win trophies and shouldn't bad mouth it.

    Parker called for this.

    Schmeichel, ̶P̶a̶r̶k̶e̶r̶ , Pallister,
    Irwin, Bruce, Sharpe and Ince,
    Hughes, McClair, Keane and Cantona,
    Robson, Kanchelskis and Giggs.

So far this season Liverpool has 17.6 shots per game compared to United 17.1 and somehow, Mourinho is the one that plays cagey?

Paul Parker gets paid by Eurosport for writing controversial articles. A point or two in his article maybe right in his article once in a while but if you look at all of his articles, it is insane to think this guy gets paid for writing what he writes. That's what sports journalism is about though mostly nowadays. Best thing is to ignore that clown.

Yeah, and lets forget the fact that Klopp has been in charge of 70 odd games for Liverpool, whilst Mourinho is already on his way making us contenders again after 30 something games.

Coutinho is a great player who could take a CM role in a midfield 3 or a number 10 role. No way I'd swap him for Pogba, in the 10 role, maybe Mata but I love Mata, so probably not. Mane would be a good option for either wing.

The Carrick one is pretty spot on.
Also, the second one. He acknowledges we are improving, but I'm sure you'd agree when I say up untill a few games, we had a bad habit of scoring goal or attacking for a period and letting off or sitting back and eventually conceding. He isn't too wrong to say us fans want to see us being more relentless and ruthless. Although it maynot be best tactic in a fitness perspective.

About the players getting into our team, I agree we could say the same about Pogba,Mkhi, Zlatan etc getting into their XI as well.

They've been scoring more of the chances they created though, that's the thing. Saying that, we've been through a really bad spell of form and recovered well. Not sure they've had a bad spell, yet.

Saying Mourinho was forced to start Carrick is stupid. Mourinho started with a team excluding Herrera and Carrick. Those two won their places after they were given chance and they took it.

In that case, you guys should say, they've had more luck. We have a player that have hit the post 7 fecking times.

We should make a table that shows where we'd be if shots that hit the woodwork counted.

Yes because those two had issues. Martial had issues with Samantha and Mhki was trying to settle in the country. That does not mean Mourinho was trying to play cagey.

Well, if they've had more luck in front of goal, its because they've been creating more chances. There's absolutely no doubt, whatsoever, that Liverpool have been better than us this season. They've won more matches, scored more goals and have more points and have been playing better football. We're catching up though.

I never said Mourinho was trying to play cagey. Things just hadn't fallen into place for him and the team, up until the last two months.

Well, I refuse to believe any of those OT match going fans are leaving games hoping one day we play like Liverpool and that is what Parker claimed. So, as far as am concern, the article is rubbish.
