I think this is far too simplistic a way of looking at it. Sometimes, people will sacrifice the short term for the greater good. Sure, one defeat tonight would have hurt tonight but does a draw really do anything but delay the inevitable? It's not just about hating Mourinho, but thinking that it would be best for your club if he was to go now before the season was a total write off. I remember kind of just wanting the killing blow to come when we had AVB. It's more painful just limping by week after week with the manager hanging on but clearly not really able to turn it around.
