I think it's safe to say with 49 points from 17, City have one hand on the league title. Chelsea had seven points fewer in Mourinho's record breaking first season after 17 played, and I can't anticipate a Devon Loch-style collapse from here on in.

City will lose in the league at some point, but where do you see it happening? On paper Spurs on Saturday will be a tough one and Pochettino has a respectable record against Pep. Might just be an unexpected match like Palace on New Year's Eve.

At this point where will they just drop points never mind actually loosing. If they beat Spurs at the weekend I'd actually tip them to go the entire season unbeaten

V Moyesies West Ham in 2019.

I think their winning run ends against Spurs.

Spurs haven't looked good away against United and Arsenal. They might get a draw at the Etihad but a win? I wouldn't expect it.

They'll lose at least three or four times this season. They'll have lost at least twice by February.

I do envision a scenario of them facing an English side in the CL and crashing out, having a slight wobble in the league but that's it.

They will lose over the christmas days, just way too many games, I expect everyone to drop them. Pep's teams usually have a weaker second half too, so I don't expect them to be that strong in 2018. They will still cruise to the title but I don't think they will go unbeaten.

The pussy in me actually fears City beyond just the league, at this point the only competition I see them maybe not putting too much focus on would be the FA Cup, I worry about them in the League Cup and UCL though

I think City will find it tough at the Emirates and Anfield. Both teams attack without fear and it can sometimes take that type of recklessness to beat City. A team that has nothing to lose will beat City.

They'll end up getting beat off Everton with Big Sam ruining football for all these born again purists. Big Sam is destined to ruin everyones enjoyment of the "beautiful game."

All these wins are a great achievement, but who the feck cares in reality? If you win the league losing 6 games, you dont get anything extra. Leicester's title win is just as valid as anyone of ours or Arsenals unbeaten run.

You forget they have a ridiculously tough run in of Ars, Spurs, Everton, Chelsea and us in the latter part of the season. They will win PL but someone will nick a W off them

One of the Emirates or Anfield I think, looking at their fixtures. Don't see them going unbeaten but they'll only lose one or two.

Yeah I was gonna say that. If they're still in the CL and the fa cup, Guardiola will stop focussing on the league all together.

On what basis do you make that prediction?

I think they will start dropping points when they have to prioritise CL over PL. until that point they have quality, confidence and momentum to see them through all comers.

Anfield is Man. City's bogey ground isn't it?

They can never seem to score a goal there, think they've lost 5 out of last 6 visits at Liverpool.

That's probably the most likely venue they could lose especially if they have CL games around that time (I don't know when in the season it will be played).

I wouldn't be stunned if they got beat at Anfield but that's more on the basis of Liverpool pulling a performance out of their arse and City being off their game.

I just dont see a Spurs victory, their midfield isnt as imperious with no Wanyama/Dier - Dembele pairing. I feel they would really want some steel in that midfield vs City and I dont think Winks brings that. He is good for quick movement of the ball and penetrative passing from deep but how much of the ball will Spurs see? The defence with no Aldeirwereld and Sanchez means they play that kid they brought in Foyth alongside Vertonghen and Dier?

And outside Kane the attack hasnt exactly been full of goals, maybe Son coming into a bit of form but Eriksen has been having an average run and Alli has been poor to average.

I see it happening this weekend. They might not necessarily lose, but I don't think they will win.

A Dele Alli backheel to win it!

    One can hope right?

Only in his first season, and we promptly lost all rhythm and composure as a result of it. It was a big mistake, and he didn't repeat it in the following two years. So, better don't bank on your assumption...

They're not that good and will lose games as a result.

Also, typically the league gets a lot tougher in the second part of the season. Clubs start playing negative physical park the bus football as more is at stake (survival, top half finish for a small club, top four, etc). Fixtures against the bottom half are difficult after January.

When a football team ACTUALLY!! attacks them instead of playing 10 men behind the ball and hoping for the best. The lack of tactical knowledge in this league these days are dreadful
