Lindelof the new Baresi all of a sudden? Seriously? Some fans. Anyway probably Pogba but personally I hope it is Rashford since he did not sabotage the previous coach and gave it his all despite the management and the overall team strategy.

If I take into account what they have achieved over the entire season up to now, it's fairly even between DDG and Lindelof. But Lindlof has surprised me more so I choose him. Pogba and Rashford are very close but I want to see that they can perform just as well another one or two months to compete for that title. In general, I think endurance is valued far too low.

Pogba and Martial the top two choices for me with Pogba leading comfortably.

DeGea has not had a great season...Lindelof is getting better and better now but hasn’t been great all season. Also his highest point is nowhere near Pogba or Rashford.

I’m reading the bolded ‘and’ as reference to players who have only put in good performances under Ole ?

So im guessing your pointing towards Herrera and Matic ? Personally I don’t think either are close to POTY though.

The points you made are very notable for Lindelof. He’s grown massively. However for me POTY is for the player who’s performed best over the season. There should be no caveats.

The same thing can be said about Pogba, Rashford and most of the team if you count the time before Ole. So my picture is that DDG had to suffer for it, but no matter how you count, since Ole came I think he made top performances, like several others.

Would be a different story if we were still enduring Jose boredum but since ole arrived and removed the shackles - Pogba - Rash - martial - Ander - lindlof - matic
    in that order.

I think i'm pointing the finger at most of the team actually.

Don't get me wrong I think it's on Mourinho that they didn't perform but I think Lindelof has been consistently good.

You don't think Shaw, Martial and Pogba had good games under Jose ? If you did a poll when Jose was sacked would you have picked Lindelof at that time ? I mean I like him, he's really growing as a player...but I'd say he's grown since Ole

Of course, the one issue with Jose was no consistency.....however I don't think DeGea was good under Jose this season, others were better.....and since Ole he has been much more like his normal self...but hasn't been our best player under Ole either. Seems a weird choice to me this season.

Ok, we obviously see it a little different, but it's allowed, not so unusual and a bit of the points with the posts. Shouldn't try to convince you that you're wrong, even if I'm right ... ;)

Unless he gets injured, I think it'll be Pogba.

The only way Rashford or Martial win is if either scores 20+ goals in all competitions by the end of the season, and outscores Pogba (who's also the designated pen taker).

What a difference two months can make. Luke Shaw has made a surging/bursting run to the top of some fans list. From almost a cast away boy, to become United POTY.

This could be a Cinderella like story.

Shaw. I had wrote him off before this season began but credit where it is due, he has been excellent this season.

Luke Shaw, most consistently good player from start of this season up to now.

    Lindelof 2nd, for now.

Not sure why Pogba and Rashford are the popular choices there? :nervous:

I can't pick one in all honesty. If pushed I'd say Smalling, most consistent at a decent level.

I'd go for Shaw at the moment but that could easily change if Pogba gets back to his best.

Probably still Pogba, but Shaw is a possibility. Depends on how well those two finish our season.

Agreed. We're reaching a "squeaky bum time" for Top 4 race (and our 1st CL trophy of this decade :smirk:), and this is when a POTS player should make their mark.

Rashford, Lindelof or maybe Shaw as an outsider.

Pogba has been our best player when he's played well but the nonsense at the start of the season and frequent no show appearances rule him out.

Bit early for that, imo. Crucial PL and CL games are coming. Lindelof, Shaw, Pogba and Rashford are contenders though. For all his weaknesses, Pogba has been the driving force behind our league form since December.

Shaw easily for me. He may actually be the best LB in the league right now. When was the last time he had a bad game?

Shaw's been the only player whose every performance has been at the very least acceptable. He should win. Same level of performances under both Mourinho and Solskjaer.

That's Robertson unfortunately he's been immense this season.

    Think I'd go for...

1 Pogba (without him we'd be nowhere near the top 4)
2 Lindelof (since the first Juventus game he's looked solid and lead the defence)
3 Shaw (some top displays and his bottom level has been at least consistent)

Shaw was motm Saturday....but the short termism here is strange. He's had a decent season but been a bit disappointing after a good start. Not sure anymore who I'd give poty to, was Pogba up until three weeks ago....now I'm thinking Lindelof.

If we're going to improve next season then individual performances are going to have to rise massively.

Probably going to come down to either Pogba or Shaw. Comfortably our 2 best this season so far, followed by Lindelof. Lots of football still to be played though.

Between Pogba, Shaw and Lindelof. Lindelof has probably been the most consistent but Pogba has been unplayable at times.
