It's not easy to admit that City are amazing. It's worse when you have to post the link to their YouTube channel and show other United fans that our club is shite, while our rivals (both City and Liverpool) have a really decent way of understanding the Internet.

How come anyone at such a club, with our fanbase, haven't thought we should start it, I don't know...

In a nutshell you are asking the question why our club does not create an official youtube channel and use it to reach more people and increase our fanbase.
Answer: if our club is still using fax machines for the transfer of players, how do you expect them to even comprehend how to use youtube? :p

Looking at our website I think we are still 10 years away from creating a YT channel.

Because they want everyone to buy MUTV I'd say which is certainly nothing special.

Yeah, this thread made me realise that Man City are just better than us in every way. I’m off to get me a Paul Lake t-shirt and a Steve Howey pencil case.

First thing I thought of when I read the OP.

No club with a shocking website like ours is pulling up a YouTube channel anytime soon.

Can guarantee they if united did have a YouTube channel, if they did concentrate on social media more, people would complain about that too.

    There's no winning.

Why would anyone complain about having more material about the club they follow? These behind the scenes, tunel cam etc. videos that other clubs have are quite interesting.

We post videos on MUTV and short clips on their Instagram page, not sure about their Twitter.
I agree though we should have a YouTube account, maybe MUTV can strike some deal with them.
If we did open one then I'd expect us to surpass Man City's subscribers in maybe a few months.

I thought about this when Harlem Shake was a thing, and Fulham and city released videos which were quite funny (Berba was my favorite in the Fulham video) and I wondered when would United start getting into things like this.

People from the older generations might find these things not entertaining, stupid or trivial, but I’m sure they would help connect with the younger fan base better. At the end of the day we need to keep attracting new fans, and things like being more connected with the fans, if only by a few videos, can only help.

We were also one of the last to jump on the twitter train, and our website is absolutely horrendous (and has been like that for many years).
It's strange that we haven't hired any good PR managers, it seems that we are too busy with the businesses to care about our general fanbase, especially with the likes of Pogba, Ibra etc. being players with their own branding image, social media presence etc.

Kompany is on a lot of those videos. I suppose he has to occupy himself when injured.

I’m struggling to think of a reason to give a shit about something like this. I get that people like to moan, especially in comparison to Man City but surely there’s something else. The quality of our football socks maybe.
