Goalies seem not to use them anymore.

I'm really nervous when I'm watching de Gea in second half. He's had some problems with a couple of saves so far.

We don't have an official cap partner yet. Woody is probably working on it.

    1) It's never sunny in Manchester so he probably doesn't have one.

    2) We don't have a cap partner.

    3) He believes in the myth about caps causing hair loss.

People in Britain have no concept of eye protection from the sun. I don’t even think they have sunglasses in that country.

slightly off topic...why don't goal keeps wear sunglasses - like special made ones that are fitted to your face and just do enough to take the edge off the brightness when you have the sun in your face.

    are you not allowed?

It's allowed as long as the ref for the game thinks it doesn't possibly cause danger to players.

Would you wear them? I'd think that they'd be different. Seeing everything differently in a position that's all about reaction would be distracting. You could train with them and get used to it but as a one-off I don't think it's a good idea.

I'm not sure -I wear them when I play tennis sometimes and just wouldn't be able to do without them when it's really sunny.

The club banned DDG from wearing a hat today as they knew Madrid would be watching 2 prospective keepers. Worked like a charm and shakey capless Dave stays!

Inevitable that an entire thread would be dedicated to this important topic.

We haven't played at home in about 3 years and it's usually grey and dull in Manchester.

I'm sure there would've been more posts in this thread had we conceded another goal. Topic not so important now.

We should have a roof on OT instead, we doesn't want Dave ruining his barnet for something as unimportant as football.

Have you ever been to Britain pal? Because from September to March you basically can’t drive your car with out sunglasses with the sun being so low. Especially up here in Scotland, it’s a nightmare.

On topic I guess because of that ponytail he is trying to grow. I’m expecting a man bun to show up at some point on his bonce. It’s like he and Bellerin have a bet on.

Yeah very unlike De Gea to get beaten at the near post, that too at an acute angle. Would have put my money on him to save it and his reaction said it all really. He was massively disappointed with himself.

During the second half I was constantly thinking "someone give de Gea a cap please."

And on cue there’s an ad on this page featuring a baseball cap. And I thought the ones for single moms were on point...

Style over practicality. You can’t put that much effort into a hairstyle and then wear a cap...that’s absurd.
