I'd like to see Pogba do well but I'll definitely be rooting for the underdogs.

I'm feeling pretty neutral about this.

On the one hand, I'd love Pogba to win the World Cup. On the other, it's always nice to see a first time winner.

    France will win I think.

Croatia have a lot of heart though - more than England would have provided for sure. So it could be an exciting final.

Will be a tight game. Think France will win but Modric and Rakitic are so fecking good that you never know. The only midfield that passes France's on paper (and on the pitch). Having 90 minutes of extra time more then France will surely play a part, along with having a day of rest fewer.

The 2 best sides in the tournament though. Both deserve it.

Who's the Croatian equivalent of Éder? France must be bricking it by now.

France have gone through strong teams. Both teams are unbeaten but Croatia must be knackered at this point having essentially played a whole game more than France and the extra mental stress that goes with it.

Rooting for Croatia but France got this. Their midfield is as good as Croatia's.

Surely Croatia won't have enough left in the tank to deal with this French side? I'd love them to win it, just to have a new world champion and one from such a small country as well. Can't see them winning it though.

I want Croatia to win, obviously, but I think that France are a bit better, and after 3 matches of 120 minutes, Croatia won't be able to resist. I would predict a 3-1 victory for France. If Mbappe/Griezmann scores a hattrick (not happening), I will win the prediction competition in my job. That would be funny for me considering that I never lead.

Early France goal and this will be 3-0 imo. Either way France were beating either finalist as they're simply a better all round team.

Think Croatia weaknesses at back will be exposed by France front three. Kante and Pogba will be all over Modric and Rakitic.

France not once played extra time in KO rounds. Croatia played it all three times so that will be problem aswell especially as Croatia have 24 hours less recovery.

Pjaca? He's a back up striker I think although plays for Juventus so better CV than Eder.

He's had a decent enough WC so wouldn't begrude him it. Part of him will probably be thinking "this will get me more instagram followers than Ronaldo" though.

France are favorites. But that's all it is. Nothing more. Croatia are very capable of winning this game too. It's a final and anything can happen. I say 60/40 in France's favour.

France really should win this. Expecting a 1-0 win similar to Belgium match.

It won't go well if they bottle another final after the Euro one, will be like Argentina in Copa and WC all over again.

    Argentina were crap.

Couldn't beat Iceland and barely beat Nigeria.

France will win; but would be nice for Croatia to win given they've never won it before, have a tiny population and we can say we lost to the eventual champs.

Not even much of a discussion. France all the way, they are a superior team in every department, better rested, and look like they want it.

France will get a Croatian player sent off at some point and will waltz to an easy win I think.

Always had a soft spot for Croatia and love an underdog story. That's exactly what they'll be too, everything stacked against them here. Weaker side in the first place, one less day of rest and 3 consecutive extra time games. It would be a hell of a thing if they can somehow pull it off.

If France win I'll be happy for Pogba but to be honest I'm hoping Croatia can do it.

Brazil was my original pick and I still maintain they'd have gone all they way if they had beaten Belgium.

I predicted Croatia to win their group, be in this side of the draw and reach the semis, only to lose to Germany. I thought they'd play Spain in the quarters and get the better of them. In all honesty, I've always felt this Croatia team have it in them to go very far since the start of the tournament.

I didn't think France would do well; didn't rate Deschamps despite the talent he has at his disposal but I guess he's proven me wrong.

I don’t think France can lose this one. They will remember the final against Portugal which they should have won at the time and will want to not repeat that experience again. They have also been extremely solid all tournament long, the only time they went behind was against Argentina and even then they equalized within 5 minutes or so. Against Uruguay and Belgium they just looked plain solid all game long.

Also, Croatia having three extra times AND one less day between the semifinal and final will take its toll on them, it has to this time. With England the difference was one extra time, this time it’s three plus one day less of rest.

Anything can happen, but France is ultra focused. They still have the ghost of the Euro 2016 final on their minds, and it's one of the first thing they've mentioned after defeating Belgium. I've been really impressed with how France has played, I always said they would have a rough start with the group stages as that's usually the case, but they have shown an identity once they got past Argentina as a solid defensive side that can hurt teams on the counter and are now dangerous on set pieces while dealing with them fairly well, which was always a weakness for France. Much like '98, they're getting to the finals with a toothless striker in Giroud, which is not to say he hasn't contributed in other ways.

I think this will finish 2-1 or 3-1 for France, with a goal from Mbappe and Varane.

In before a Belgian referee is in charge of the final.
