Loads of Utd fans moaning about our attacking style, and Arsenal fans complaining about their weak defense, How do you feel a swap would influence both teams.

This is not just a thread to mention replacements for either club, or to discuss who is better. Just a hypothetical thing to see how would you think the teams would do with the manager swap?

EDIT: I will just make it clear, I wouldn't want that in a million years as well. I was generally interested in the opinion of Arsenal fans, hence in football forum.

You laugh but we seriously considered (and even approached, I believe) Wenger to take over from SAF.

    Eek.

Not a chance. Wenger's best days are well behind now.

I am more interested in the Arsenal fans perspective than ours to be honest, seeing that most of ours wouldn't in a million years. I m just curious as to see if fans feel how a swap would change their game.

Most of them hate Mourinho because during his career he's consistently beaten Wenger like he owes him money. Those scars run deep. I doubt they can be objective.

I wouldn't swap our kitman for Wenger, the spineless defeatist disgrace that he is. Good attacking play my ass, they're just a horrible spineless team that can put some good attacking displays against relegation fodders until a decent team comes to town and flips them over.

To put his name in the same sentence as Mourinho is a blasphemy, if the old tit had any dignity left he'd have left the Arse years ago.

No, both of them are poor. If I have to change managers it'll be for someone like Favre. Mourinhos way isn't the guarantee of trophies as it once was

No offence but you'd be insane to want Wenger.

Arsenal's attacking play is generally crap. I have no idea why people still talk about them like they are a great attacking side. The myths surrounding Arsenal will never die.

Only if Eboue is the assistant and Francis Jeffers comes out of retirement to replace Lukaku.

It would be interesting to see what Wenger would do with the kind of budgets Mourinho has to operate with. He’s never worked on a level playing field before always had a financial disadvantage vs Utd and then Chelsea and City.

Tbf this isn't that bad. Specially when you remember some replace Mourinho with Marco Silva posts.

Absolutely! In Arsene we trust. He needs more finances which United have so he can build another great squad that will win EPL. .

I'm talking about bigger ones, Wenger's got three FA cups, and if we're to remain at this level I'd still take him over mourinho. The next manager has to be better than both Wenger and mourinho

Bigger ones? I'd say you're in serious trouble of missing out on your imaginary top 4 trophy. And every other one.

They haven’t played consistently good football since Cazorla got injured. Their midfield makes ours look incredible.

    * Old Trafford. Night. Mourinho and Wenger face each other.
    * Wenger tries to teach Mourinho how to attack.
    * In response, Mourinho pokes Wenger's eye.

    Mourinho: "Omae wa mou shindeiru"
    Wenger: "Nani"?

    Wenger explodes.

    Thus begins Mourinho no Ken.

He doesn’t even have a style of play any longer, the great ”Wenger football” died a long time back. Just look at today with his back 3, he’s just trying to wing it.

In contrary, I think this is a good thread. I would have seriously preferred Wenger (if available) to take over from LVG. That was 2 years back though. But now, not sure . Has regressed massively in the last 2 years and looks to have lost that passion and hunger .
