I guess he looked at the team and realised he wouldn't play much. Wish him all the best at Cardiff.
2 and a half year contract means he probably won't have to be there if Ole gets fired. I imagine he will be happy enough with Championship football for a season as long as Ole is in charge and he will be next season still I reckon.Going to Cardiff is definitely a better choice for his development, that said, what happens if/when Cardiff gets relegated and Ole gets fired? I doubt he'll be too happy if he ends up in the Championship without Ole. Granted, Ole could do well and keep them up and stay with Cardiff for a while.
I can see us bringing him back at some stage, he left because he was apparently home sick and we did try to get him back but he went there for Ole. If he does work out at Cardiff for both him and ole, it wouldn't surprise me to see them both at united.I read that he pulled off a brilliant move. Dribbled past two Bolton players and fired off a shot that just went over the crossbar. Shows a lot of confidence, seeing as Cardiff only had a 1 goal lead at that stage.
The Caf is going to implode if Dæhli becomes the next Pogba
Why? If it was thought that he could be a first team starter for us, then he has the perfect manager who would help see a transfer to us rather than another club.I read that he pulled off a brilliant move. It's just like hearing Fergie, isn't it?I loved how Ole lashed out at agents
I remember seeing that as a quote. Could also have remembered it wrong. Wouldn't be weird if that was the reason. Many players fail as professionals for that reason. Going home for a year and playing all the time can really mature a person. What's with the myth that he left because he's home sick? He's got a good relationship with Ole, knew he'd have a good chance to get into his first team in both Molde and Cardiff and wanted to develop. The lad's a United fan, so if he gets good enough, we'll have every chance to sign the lad.
Great to see that he's taking the level well already
It would be weird, as it's no fluke that Mats is so talented. He's so single-minded in his efforts to become a top footballer. I just did a search and can't find any Noggy articles stating that. I think it's just that a lot of people didn't see why he'd want to move on to Molde, and that seemed plausible and it gained momentum. He arrived in Molde with momentum, and isn't skipping a beat for Cardiff. He just needed to be given chances in first team football, which Ole is giving himI remember seeing that as a quote. Ridiculous, he showed more in those ten minutes than some overhyped players in championship show in few games.
sell him
I'm not so sure. If he were so single minded he wouldn't leave around his 18th birthday. There's always the loan option. It would be weird, as it's no fluke that Mats is so talented. Fergie seemed reluctant to loan a few of the lads out towards the end, particularly those who he deemed to not have the head for it. Mats, Ravel and Pogba would all still probably be here had they gone out on loan.I'm not so sure. If he were so single minded he wouldn't leave around his 18th birthday. Why would that matter? Anyway, agree to disagree. All I'll say is that I've been following him with some interest the past year, and he seems very focused and confident. Academy player of the year, and when he finally started playing with the big boys in Molde the seniors were gushing with praise, just as the Cardiff squad now is. Took to Tippeliga, national team and now Championship/Premier League football without breaking stride, impressing instantly in all cases, and all in about 7-8 months. The boy's a huge talent, knows it himself, and just saw in Ole a manager who will give him a stage to impress on. Can't see why he'd need a stint in Norway because of a lack of confidence, or home-sickness. He just knows it's hard to even get a shot at Old Trafford. My two cents, like I said.I'm not so sure. If he were so single minded he wouldn't leave around his 18th birthday. There's always the loan option.
It was all down to playing for OGS. He knows him, as does Mats's father. OGS knew he was going to manage in the PL and sold the idea to Mats Møller Dæhli. Both him and his familiy knew he would get the special attention from the manager and was the best to guide him the first years of his career. It's a sure way to make it you could say.According to the press conference when he signed for Cardiff, we didn't just try to activate the buyback clause, we had talks with him. He most likely wanted to know if he'd be playing week to week in the first team. If the answer had been yes, or is yes in the next year or two, thats when I think he'd be happy to come back. It is strange though that he's asked for permanent moves instead of loans. And in the same conference he said there were several reasons why he left United, homesickness could have been one, whos to know
Why would he definitely come to us ?That was a very good cameo. Looking forward to his development and hopefully an eventual move back to United.
Wow. Why the hell did we sell this kid? Do we enjoy selling our most talented young players?
sell him
At this point of his career, it's important for him to be playing regular football. OGS is someone he has very good relationship with and given the talents he'll be competing for a first team place in United the obvious choice was to sign for Ole. It doesn't make sense to sign for United and then go on perennial loans which may or may not work out when there is a stable alternative. Why would he definitely come to us ?
It's sounds a bit daft on our part to let one of our brighter talents go and then fail to buy him back when we want him. Why not loan him out in the first place?
