this is so different from the moyes situation last year isn't it? we were all hoping and praying the announcement to be delayed and delayed because we all kind of expected and knew it was always going to be moyes but were still hoping for somebody else.

NYSE opens at 9.30am their time and announcements are often an hour beforehand to give the market time to digest the information before trading starts. Same on LSE. There's nothing stopping them from releasing information during the day but it's normally before the market opens.
This is assuming the release of this information has to follow NYSE rules, but I would have thought it would given moyes sacking and other big announcements were.
8.30am their time is 1.30pm ours so I think they've missed the boat today. When (if?!) it's officially announced I reckon it'll be around this time of day.
