If you actually put aside the fact that the club really needs to be active in the transfer market, the transfer season itself is amazing craic. I'd say these tabloid hacks have unreal fun with it.
If I was Fabregas I would lose my mind just checking my twitter mentions.
How sweet would it be if we pulled a "Chelsea" and stole their target just like they did to us with Hazard? I'm still skeptical about us getting him though. Let's wait and see what transpires.

Could have signed for free in january with any club, made sure his club got a fee by signing a late contract. I think you have the wrong fernando in mind.
Was due to expire at the end of this month but he signed a 3-year extension in February, was always going to end up at City though, was just to guarantee Porto would get a fee for him instead of losing him for nothing.
Crazy as it may sound, I'd rather not Fabregas, at least of all the star names linked to us this summer.

Mourinho said " we have "some" interest in the player". I think Cesc does not want to come here, he wants london and chelsea have champions league. United want to sign him and may be ready to offer him loads of money but i think his preferance for london and champions league football will mean he will only go there.
Good player but it seems a bit pointless to me. They also have the problem with the restriction in player registration, so signing another foreign player won't help that, especially one that won't be first choice.

I doubt anyone listens to him, he's a fringe player whereas the likes of Mata grew up with Cesc in and around the Spain squad.

Laughing seeing the scousers linked, LFC still have no chance competing with us in the transfer market, the only thing they have over us at the moment is CL football which will change next year.
Stadium, training facilities, size of club, money, they just can't compete. Always happy to see us and them linked with a player because I know they will pick us 99% of the time.
It's ironic that he says we've made a late bid before the transfer window has officially opened. But of course it's true that if you're waiting on targets then you could miss out in the process.

I really hope we at least make a bid. If Cesc prefer Chelsea i understand but if he doesn't mind, then we have to outbid Chelsea. He is a really great player, him alongside Schweinsteiger or Vidal or even Pogba would be deadly as hell.

I checked out Tancredi's twitter page and he's been hitting back at the accusations of it being a betting scam and he was first to break the news. It was slightly amusing seeing him defend his honour in a twitter exchange.
