Rojo for Blackett and Di Maria for Fletcher if both are fit!?

    1-3.

I doubt LVG will let MK Dons happen again.
The FA Cup would be huge win this season and a good hammering of Yeovil would be a good start.
I think we will walk this 5-0 (even thought I managed to predict 0-0 in the , voting before I changed the score)

Also MKDons are not as bad a side as Yeovil, our side had a load of kids and players who couldn't give a toss. This team will be different.

Let's make sure we gent to round 4 and let's not have a repeat of mk dons
    Lindegaard
    Rafa Smalling Jones shaw
    Herrera Fletcher pereria
    Januzaj
    Falcao Wilson
This, but with Evans and Blackett instead of Jones and Smalling. I want Evans to prove himself, maybe gain some confidence.

Rest De Gea, Carrick, Rooney, Falcao, van Persie and Mata. That's a must.

    So,

    -------------- Lindegaard
    Rafael - McNair - Smalling - Blackett - Shaw
    --------------- Fletcher
    -------- Herrera ------- Pereira
    --------------- Januzaj
    --------------- Wilson

Subs: Johnstone, Rothwell, Pearson, Will Keane, Falcao, James (he's coming back from loan), Powell (see James).

I'm not a fan of 3 at the back, but that's compensation for Fletcher as DM.

Would be devastated if Pereira doesn't get minutes here.

With that being said, anyone know if Lingard is nearing fitness yet? Would be nice to see him back or get some minutes against Yeovil, but here's my preferred lineup!

    Lindegaard
    Rafael McNair Blackett Shaw
    Janko Herrera Fletcher Januzaj
    Pereira
    Wilson
Janko reminds me of a 2009 version of Valencia, pace and great deliveries and that could combine well with an overlapping Rafael.

On the opposite side you have Shaw and Januzaj who have shown great combination play against Crystal Palace and look threatening down a flank.

Would like to ditch the 3-5-2 and see some creative wing play/cutting inside

Not a bad way to get Rafael, Shaw and Di Maria (he's back, right?) some minutes to add fitness.

This is a FA cup, nobody should get a 'run out' esp given the fact its an away match.

LVG should start with a good lineup.

After MK Dons, you never know... I remember when people predicted 4-0 as a joke before the game on here and they got told off by others
TBF,our defense was made up of James, Janko, Keane, Vermijl, and Evans. Evans was the only senior player and currently in the worst form of his career. Not to mention that the midfield was made up of Anderson and Powell. Two players that were originally attacking midfielders. Anderson, obviously not good enough and Powell having only a couple of minutes of experience in that position.

That game should have started Wilson and Januzaj, our two best talents with a slightly more experienced defense. That many young players in defense was asking for trouble.

I think Wilson and Januzaj should start this game. They need the game time.

Would be devastated if Pereira doesn't get minutes here.

I think that's too many youngsters in the team. Can't afford to risk going out this early because these games could be very important in getting Januzaj and Wilson minutes. Our less talented youth players already sort of cost those two minutes in the league cup.

I also think the formation doesn't suit the players. Janko isn't a winger, he's a rb. He often struggles to create anything for the reserves and tends to just cross. I feel like he does better when he starts his runs from deep (fb position) which allows him to beat defenders to the ball with his pace and power. Pereira's game also suffers when playing as the #10. He performs better in a deeper position. Finally, I think Januzaj should get a chance at the #10 position. We know he isn't going to displace Mata and Rooney, potentially even di Maria, in that position so he will always get his minutes out wide. It can't hurt to give him a chance to let him build up confidence in a position he's more comfortable with.

Exactly, MK and Yeovil are a completely different story.

The team that day was an odd mix of players soon to be on their way, youth teamers not ready yet, an unfit Evans, and De Gea.

FA Cup is more important anyway, so I'm sure we'll see some bigger names play, even coming so soon after today's game.

For the love of God just entertain me. There has not been a single game all season where I have actually been enthralled by our attacking play. I thought Van Gaal was all about expansive entertaining football......jesus I did not think I'd consider Moyes' football last season to be 1970 Brazil level compared to this trash that is being served. I honestly remember us hammering Van Gaal's Bayern when we met but got unlucky due to a Robben goal........idk if he is the right man for us.

I'm confident we will win this game as long as we don't play 3-5-2, even if we play something like Pearson-Rothwell-Pereira in midfield.

Play the strongest team we have available.

We've not fully clicked as a team yet, using this match as a chance to give kids/fringe players a game would be a complete waste.

No fecking about here, a lot of those players are just coming back from injury and the southampton game is a week after so plenty of rest after this.

Could go either way this one. If we play like we did against Stoke, with a bit of luck, we might scrape a draw and hope for the best in the replay.

No messing about. Strong back four. Two central midfielders. Two wide midfielders working up and down the flanks. Two central attackers, one playing slightly deeper than the other.

442, 4231, 433, call it what ever you want. There is no reason for 532 against Yeovil.

Yeovil will be game-raising infront of a ravenous home crowd. Exposing too many youngsters to that atmosphere could go very wrong.

    1-4.

Hope we really go for the cup this season. We are capable of fecking this up, so hope we don't play around too much with the first XI. Hope Januzaj starts though.

Wilson and Januzaj should definitely start.

Hopefully Pereira and maybe Mcnair do too.

Don't think there would be any more U21s beyond that starting. Maybe 2/3 on the bench.

It will have to be a pretty strong side, a couple of kids, but not too many and a good bench. It is no good having a weak side out with an even weaker bench.

Think we should play a weaker side but mixed with a couple of senior players, our next game is a week later so resting players isn't needed.

    maybe something like:

    -------- David de Gea -------
    Rafael - Jones - McNair - Shaw
    ---------- Carrick ----------
    --- Anderson - Herrera ------
    --------- Periera ---------
    ----- Wilson - Falcao ------

We need to field a strong team, get a good result and then we can start resting a few. Really looking forward to this one.

    -----------Big Dave-----------
    Rafael-Jones-Smalling-Shaw
    ------------Carrick------------
    ----Pereira-------Herrera----
    ------------Januzaj-----------
    ----Falcao---------Wilson----

Hoping Januzaj gets a chance in his favoured position, don't see him as a future winger. It's also about time Pereira gets some game time after being on the bench all season so far. We could use this game to give some much needed match fitness to the likes of Herrera, Shaw and Rafael; not only that but I'm hoping we switch to a back 4. Although I'm not 100% against the back 3 form as it's saved our arse a few times this season; and it's partly the reason we've conceded the 4th least amount in the league. But, our best football and our best performance this season has been in a back 4. Lastly, I'd bring Wilson into the team in place of Robin because of his recent game vs' Stoke. I haven't included Rooney in the side as I don't think he is needed vs a team such as Yeovil, this will give him a much needed rest after the festive period.

    Why should Carrick play?

We must give him a rest. He is one of our best players, he is not that young anymore and he is playing nearly every match for the whole 90 minutes... he should stay at home and charge his battery.

I would also do without Jones and Smalling. Field McNair/Blackett and Evans. Evans needs self confidence like you need air to breathe.
