That's the one who made the Lukaku, Schürrle and de Bruyne deals. Maria something... russian/canadian... (there was a piece on her in german newspaper last year) finalizes all transfer deals for Chelsea ... and apparently the contract negotiations which was new to me.
No wonder they sign for everyone they are after and that too for low wages.

Nah, unless he improves. His finishing move (as an assist or a shot) is not good enough yet.
It has been improved on the last couple of seasons now. He'll likely score 20+ this season.

I don't think that there is much between him and Bale.

Hazard has to move up another level and become the top man (or one of the top men) in this league before the Spanish clubs come calling. He needs at least one truly stand out season. He's not Spanish, and for the money he'd cost he's still not a big enough deal yet.

If and when that season happens - when he's seriously up for every Premier League award going - then he'll be main target.

He is going to be better than Bale there's no doubt about that.

I'd say he's already better than Bale. Not as much end product but much more influential over 90 minutes.

Besides scoring spectacular long range goals, what exactly is Bale better at than Hazard? Nothing, in my opinion.

That's quite a big thing to be better than him at though tbh, I personally think Hazard has a lot more to give but seems to play a little within himself at times.

EDIT: Oh and he is also better at him in the air...

The only question mark with Hazard that I can see is whether he has the hunger and drive to become that Ballon d'Or winner he could become. He's certainly got the tools.

Well there is given that Bales last season at Spurs was a level above anything Hazard has produced.

Hazard is a very good player but I think I'm the only Chelsea fan who doesn't seem to rate him as one of the best in the world.
At times he holds on to the ball far too long and is infuriating to watch.

A lot harder to deal with too. Hazard can get out of tight spots and create something from nothing. Bale needs the room to stretch his legs.

In a few years it's Hazard and Neymar battling it out for title of World's best player in my opinion.

I'd say Neymar is a level above both, and Hazard is close to reaching Bale's sort of level.

He probably could've signed the biggest contract in the world, he just didn't want to.

Gotta agree with some others here in saying he's not as good as Bale and at 24 he hasn't reach the heights yet of Bale never mind Ronaldo(2009). I think he's a brilliant but frustrating player even to watch as a non-Chelsea fan. He's a lower tier of world class when you compare him to other world wingers (Robben, Ronaldo, Bale, Neymar) but he has age on his side so he can become better.

Although class at the moment and would love him at United but I still think he's overrated.

Not as good as Bale. I'm not even sure he's much better than Oscar. Oscar is a gem of a player.

I've said this before, against a team defending tight and deep (90% of teams a big team plays against) I'd much rather have Hazard than Bale. I'd have him before Neymar too, and I'm Brazilian

He's significantly better than Oscar. Many of us Chelsea fans have been calling for Oscar to lose his first XI spot.

I wouldn't even put among those wingers. He's clearly a lower level to them.

Really? Whenever I watch you I always think Oscar is quality! You'll know better than me I only watch your lot every so often.

Better than Bale, imo. Bale is a very good player, but he needs to be played to his strengths to be effective, Hazard can do anything, the guy is electric.

So in other words, he could win the Ballon d'Or. If he wanted to

Ronaldo and Robben are clearly better than he is. Hazard, Neymar, and Bale are all level for me. Hazard and Bale maybe even a smidgen better than Neymar.

Yep. He'll be brilliant one match and then terrible the next. Wildly inconsistent. A lot of us want to see Willian take his #10 role with Cuadrado on the right.

No. It's not that easy. But at the moment he wouldn't even be a fringe candidate to win it. And that potential he has.

Like others have said, I think Bale is the better player, but I'd rather have Hazard in my team (assuming Bale won't play like in his last season for Spurs, because that was kind of mental).

Not the Neymar of this season, no way.

Agree that Hazard hasn't really shown the type of form that Bale showed in his last season in England. Huge potential though, has the tools to become the best in the world.

Think he'd find it much harder in England than he does in Spain. Don't think he'd be as effective as Hazard or Bale are/were.

Really eh. Hazard and Neymar are both comfortably better overall then Bale. Both of them are better in just about every aspect other then overall top speed, their strength and then then Bale beats Hazard goal scoring wise. Bale's not a patch on the other 2 with every other aspect of their games.

Never. Literally all he has over him is his strength and top speed. Neymar is quicker on the turn or more agile, and then Neymar just has so much more talent then Bale and has comfortably outperformed him this season and outscored him. Been brilliant all year, where as Bale has been pretty shite but has a decent goal record.
