From an outside perspective one of the biggest things United need to become a title challenger again is an experienced leader in the back line who can organize the defense and contribute in the build up play. Ramos provides all of this. This will especially be important, if your biggest source of defense stability might be gone this Summer.
He is also only 29 and missed around a dozen matches in over five years. As far as I´m concerned, he has still at least five seasons on top level in him.

However, from our perspective, whether or not it's true Ramos wants to come here (and of course it's all speculation right now), we can't let Perez bully us - it wouldn't be right for our club. If he'd been decent over De Gea, then we wouldn't be trying to go after one of your legends.
In any case, it would be a shock if this transfer happened.
