Well, I'm glad this is over (almost). It definitely seems to have brought the worst out in some people. Personally I'm glad he's gone. You don't win things with passengers and he certianly was just that.

Because I feel cheated. It’s like he decided after a few months when things started getting messy that he doesn’t want to be here and it turned him into shit player, so that he can move to his beloved Paris. I don’t hold a grudge against our former players but I dislike Di Maria a lot right now.

I wish we meet PSG in Champions League and we teach him a lesson on a cold windy night at Old Trafford to show him what he’s missing.
By all means that's a reasonable response but to wish injuries, name calling etc is what i was referring to.

People are irritated because we signed the most expensive player in the history of the PL and he blatantly couldn't wait to get the hell out of dodge. Seriously, is it really that hard to understand why people bear him some ill will?
Yeah I'm irritated as well that it didn't work out but I've seen lads wish he gets an injury or has a miserable time over at PSG. United should have seen the warning signs when United wasn't even his first choice club. We lose 10 mil but we will move on and be even better next season

If it makes you feel any better mate I'm pretty sure Di Maria wasn't thinking about you when he made he's decision. You need to love yourself before you can be loved. There are plenty more fish in the sea.

Who wants him injured? And name calling? It's hardly vile vitriolic stuff is it?
It's all over the internet mate, just look a page back in this thread re injuries.

Are people more angry at the fact that he came for a year and didn't put any effort in and played poor or are people angry at the fact that he is really really talented and cost shit loads and now he is leaving?

I wouldn't wish injury on any player, that said I hope he stubs his toe before his first game for PSG and hops around for 28 mins before he's taken off. Folk have a right to question a bloke who was paid astronomical amounts yet barring the first month...looked completely uninterested. Di Maria should feel privileged to play on the highest stage whilst living a type of lifestyle most of us couldn't even dream of. Not only has he cheated the fans but also himself. He's wasted a year of his short career.

Angel Di Maria is such a cock.

Probably the fact that he's really really talented but decided not to give a feck.

He treated us like shit. He’s a cracking footballer when he wants to be. But it was pretty clear he wants to be world class somewhere else. I am 100 sure Pedro will be an upgrade on him.

I don’t care how much he cost, I am angry at the fact he has given up so fast. I just think he has poor mentality.

Meh now it's over I'm not that bothered. He never became a player that I took to heart. I care more about Rafael leaving than I do about ADM.
The big thing I take from this incident is that I would rather we never dealt with Mendes again. He is a man I despise and would rather miss the next big player than deal with him.

I won't miss him at all. Obviously it would have been nice if he turned up at OT and showcased those talents that we all know he's capable of, but at the end of the day if that badge on the front of his shirt doesn't mean something to him, then he can go whistle dixie and feck one. Laters rat boy.

Read on the Dailymail that Van Gaal demanded additional 3M from them for posting pictures of his medical when he only had permission to talk. I hope that's true.

Give peas a chance.
I'd be pretty good PR if almost immediately after announcing di Maria has left we can announce the signing of Pedro. Doubt Angel will get quite the outpouring other outgoing players got this summer (Rafa for instance).

I've spent a fair chunk of time in Paris and I can't see how it in any way shape or form is better than Manchester. Maybe I'm biased, but it certainly isn't a tropical paradise...

I love United as much as the next person and it would have literally been my biggest dream come true if I would have played for United. I would have killed for the chance when I was younger. The fact of the matter is, if that was me and I was playing for United then they sold me to someone like Real or Barcelona, I wouldn't really give a shit anymore. I'd be professional and all but my heart just wouldn't be in it. I presume that's the way most of us feel hence the vitriol on here.

What you've got to remember is that Di Maria doesn't love United or PSG. Everything he does is just business so there's no reason to get upset or angry with what's happened. We will be fine, we've lost players who cared and gave more than he ever did. We're better off without mate!

Some of you lot are robots are you?

I can picture you now watching the CL final, 2 minutes into injury time and someone completely fecks up an open goal, I assume your response would be 'oh well, you can't score them all'.

People seriously cant understand why fans are a bit miffed that we stumped up a record fee, for a clearly talented player, who couldn't be arsed to put in a bit of effort and wanted off before he even got here? Wow

I guess if caught your missus shagging your best mate, you'd be like "ah well, you're a couple of young, healthy, attractive people, I understand. Here mate, let me hold her legs for you."

I hope some third rate defender in the French league, who never learned how to tackle properly, goes through the back of him 5 minutes into his debut and ruptures both his ACLs.

Pretty much agreed with you until the last part. I just can't understand the idea of wanting a footballer to get injured so his career is totally fecked. Bizarre.

I'd rather have Young who has less talent but takes the pride of wearing that red shirt. Playing for United shouldn't be 'just a job'.

That's straight to the point, agree with most of it, not sure I would be so ruthless with his ACL's.

None of what you've stated is remotely similar.

Take a step back. We stumped a lot of money on an employee who never wanted to leave his original organisation and never wanted to join us. A year later, he leaves us for his preferred destination and we recoup quite a bit money, with minimal loss.

Move on. The club and it's players seem to have. Why can't the fans?

Well I'm not going to religiously watch PSG this year with voodoo doll, sacrificing chickens in the hope that it will happen.

But if it does it'll be good enough for him as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think anyone got the same send off from all the players that Rafa did, he must mean a lot to the squad.

Yes, because it totally makes sense to insult him and wish him bad luck...

Ok.
Standing in the pissing rain watching 22 men kick a ball around a field doesn't make much sense either if you want to get into it.

I didn't insult him, and being destroyed by a shite defender would be a consequence of choosing to play in a shite league, not bad luck.

No, no. You continue with your petty and bitter insults. Why stop?

I support the club and not one player.
