Watched the first season and felt it was a really solid cop show. Titus Welliver is very good in it IMO.

I watched it and thought Welliver was made for the role of Harry Bosch, read a lot of the books and would say its a very good adaptation of same.

It was a collection of almost every stereotype of a cop imaginable, yet very enjoyable.

Ashley Young was good in it too.

Still need to watch the last 2 episodes but I've really enjoyed it so far.

SEASON 2 IS BEING AIRED ON AMAZON FROM FRIDAY 11th MARCH (2 DAYS TIME)

Loved the books, was sceptical of the series being made but when I watched it it was very enjoyable. Although it morphed a few of the books together the story line was fresh and new but kept a good grounding in the novels. Bring on Friday, I'm ready for a binge watch!

Just finished season two, I really quite like this show.

Mentioned it in the 'recommend me a TV show' thread but there are quite a few people from The Wire in it, Daniels, Marlo, Ziggy, Agent Kutris, Maurice Levy..

Finished it last night, great show.

Hard to believe that Welliver (Bosch) played James "Jimmy" O'Phelan in Sons of Anarchy, it was one of the worse Irish "Hollywood" accents of all time.

I can't believe I missed the release of season 2 by nearly a month. If only I had an Amazon subscription

Have read nearly all the books, and was pleasantly surprised how well Amazon converted this into a TV series, Titus Welliver and Jaime Hector (Marlo from The Wire) are both excellent. Hopefully there will be a Season 3.

Never heard of it til my mate told me he watched the first series last week. I waded through both series in 4 days. Pretty enjoyable show.

Are the books any good?

The books are great and the TV series isn't a bad adaptation at all.

I think I must have an Amazon subscription that I didn't know about because I'm watching series 2 now.

You have Amazon prime.

Season 2 has been really, really good! Best thing i've seen on TV in 2016 so far.

Four episodes into the first series, excellent TV. Probably the best cop drama I've seen in a very long time. Good enough to forgive Welliver for his awful Irish accent in SOA.
Tbf, he was one of many. It was utter cringe watching the season they went to Ireland.

The funny thing was, the guy who I thought had the worst accent was actually Irish, but he had a Dutch sounding name Aarie Verveen who played Liam O'Neill. Best Irish accent I ever heard was Mel Gibson In Braveheart !!!

Daniel Day-Lewis's Belfast accent was perfect in In The Name Of The Father, except for a couple of hiccups. One being, he asked for a towel, when people from Belfast pronounce it 'tarl' or 'tahl'. He's the closest I've ever heard on screen.

Just tag me when you watch season 2. Didn't think it would top season 1 (which is indeed excellent) but it has! Scintillating stuff

@Loublaze
Season 1 was great, start to finish. Couldn't fault anything about it.
Season 2 seemed to start weak for me, didn't feel the storyline in the first two episodes but then it clicked. Great story in the end, realistic and without the typical supercop crime solving.
Hope there's more to come.

Fairly okay, decent show, but nothing someone has to watch. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Even thought Welliver is physically smaller than I imagined Bosch to be from the books he does a brilliant job of capturing the character.
