Bringing Nani back isn't so Bad, I think he was Gone Too Soon, Remember The Time when Nani set up Rooney for his Dangerous, Invincible bicycle kick? Or when he ran like a Speed Demon from the half way line and scored the winner against city for the charity shield, which made everyone Scream and left city fans Speechless! What a Heartbreaker, you had Got To Be There, he put a huge Smile on my face that day!

For £6m I Want You back, I'll be There when you return Nani, Will You Be There?
This transfer window is turning out to be quite a Thriller!
Someone had to do it. Well done.

That would be quite a surprise. I wouldn't mind it, I was always a fan of his.

Does he fit the profile of a Jose player who works a lot for the team? FWIW I didn't think he should've been sold at all. But I'm not sure he's what we need now.

I liked him, I liked his moments of brilliance, but I do not want him back. We needed to aim higher then and therefore we should be aiming higher now.

If we're bringing back players LVG got rid of, bring back Chicharito.

I would welcome Nani. He is an exciting player to watch even when he is not doing too well. And when he does, he is breathtaking.

I would love Nani back, still one of my favorite players and I've missed him ever since he left.

I have faith Mourinho would get him back to his 2009-2012 form. He was excellent in that period. For example the goals against City in Community shield 2011  His first goal especially is still one of my favorite football goals ever. Don't think I'm allowed to post videos. But I'm sure everyone remembers it.

We looked insanely good at the start of the 2011/2012 season with Anderson and Cleverley bossing the midfield until Kevin Davies broke Cleverley's leg and we dropped off and he never really recovered from it.

It was probably the best football I've seen from any team ever and it was the period when we also thrashed Arsenal 8-2. The start of that season was fantastic. Would love to see us play such fluid football again.

Would be an awesome squad player. He'd be motivated as feck too tbf and the sort of player who will age well as he is very fit.

Love the thread title. As if the Luis bit disambiguates him from all the other potential Nanis

Why? His shooting was very erratic, apart from 10/11 and the start of 11/12 I hardly remember his time at United as overwhelming success.

He was lightning, but he couldn't score frequently enough and couldn't tackle to save his life. Why do people say it's a terrible post, he was booed at Old Trafford towards the end.

He was exactly the same player when he left in 14 as to when he arrived in 07. Frustrating.
All these littl ladyboys who quoted me, play in the caf clash of clans clan with me, they agreed ingame to all quote me and disagree.
And they are all wrong obviously, especially @Varun who started it :D

Number 13 there is just out of this world IMO, and against Arsenal just to top it off.

Some players are unpopular with a lot of fans, and some of them I agree with - I was never a big fan of Welbeck, O´shea, Anderson etc.
A lot of people hated Nani too, but personally I always loved him as a player. A creative and lively player with the sweetest shot when he was on form.

And one more thing: SO many player when they reach a 1on1 with the keeper just shoots and hits the body of the keeper. Nani had the balls AND skill to chip it over the goalie most times. Awesome player, even though he had a tip of form at the end.

The fact that Nani has had the last 2 seasons of first team football under his belt would make you think he would be as sharp as he can ever hope to be in this moment. I'd probably prefer Sadio Mane myself seem as he has insane speed and seems to be a decent footballer also..........But Nani would be an upgrade on Lingard on the right wing but whether he would be good enough to be in the first team on a consistent basis would still remain to be seen

I'm firmly in the bring back Nani camp, knows the club and will have matured a little from his experiences.

Care to share why you think that is so unbelievably hilarious? He scored the fastest hat trick in premier league history in 2015 and was only one of 2 players to score a hat trick against a top 4 team this season...yeah how silly of me to suggest he's a decent footballer

Haha, thanks for tagging me guys. I would like to see it happen just for my names sake  but I can't see him coming back and I haven't watched him much since he left but when I have he hasn't looked great anyway.
I haven't seen any full games but his stats are good - 14 goals, 12 assists - and the goal/assist quality has been decent as well.

He'd still be ten times the player Depay is so I'm all for it. Would instantly become our most creative player.

For someone with the name bringnaniback you're probably the most reasonable person here.

I for one can't even believe we're considering the idea. People forget how inconsistent he was I think!

I doubt it's true but i wouldn't mind him back. Considering his time here i imagine negotiations would go Smooth. Criminal if we pass up the opportunity to get a good player for a small fee if he's available.

Me too, but not sure if I'd want him back at this point in his career, he isn't exactly young. No idea why LVG God rid though, and then went on and brought in Angel Di Maria who is a similar player but never played in England.

Strange man.

12 goals and 13 assists last season for Fenerbahce 15/16 season
12 goals and 8 assists for Sporting 14/15 season
1 goal 0 assists In His last season as a red (which he was mostly out for with a hamstring injury) 13/14 season
3 goals and 6 assists 2nd last season 12/13 season
10 goals and 15 assists In 11/12 season
10 goals and 20 assists in 10/11 season

Fenerbahce highlights

Sporting highlights

I think it's fair to say Nani has regained his form again since his major dip in form in 12/13 season. His last injury was in the 13/14 season. He has got assists in him and it's what we lack, we don't have a supplier for Ibra currently. So I really wouldn't mind him back here again. I think Nani is only as good as the players around him, this year he'd have great players surrounding him.

Di Maria was infinitely better than Nani. Be silly to pass that up

I was at the United/Stoke game when Moyes was in charge, he was so dire I almost ran onto the pitch to drag him off myself, half of Old Trafford was screaming for Moyes to get him off, he could be amazingly talented one minute and arse clentchingly shite the next. Not for me I'm afraid.
