In love with @Eboue
He looks like Drake in a fat suit.

Smaller clubs being able to pay far more than they could in the past combined with being a starter for those clubs makes it attractive I guess.Signed a new 5 year contract with Watford.
First Vardy, now Deeney. Where is all this loyalty in football coming from
fantastic to see. Always liked Deeney and tbh after this summer im starting to like Vardy as well.Signed a new 5 year contract with Watford.

No one was actually trying to sign Fat Drake. Probably just his agent stirring the pot with rumors to get Watford to act.Signed a new 5 year contract with Watford.

Should get a call up from England for WC then. While not a very best plan B/C option, but would be Okayish. And knowing how to take penalty is a big help. Strong England trams got undone by penalty shootout so why not try something different. This guy basically lives of penalties. I can't remember the last time I saw him score from open play.

Wasting a squad place and a late sub in a crunch tie on a specialist penalty taker doesn't sound the best strategy to me when there are clearly several better players than him in his position. Also imagine the scenes if he missed after all.Should get a call up from England for WC then. While not a very best plan B/C option, but would be Okayish. Has there been mention of this possibility in the media? Because it seems like before every tournament there's some kind of press campaign to have a typical old-fashioned lump of an English centre-forward called up.Deeney for the World Cup?! How can anyone seriously recommend that with a straight face?
I think there were a few murmurs about Andy Carroll before he got injured.Has there been mention of this possibility in the media? Because it seems like before every tournament there's some kind of press campaign to have a typical old-fashioned lump of an English centre-forward called up.

I'm not saying Deeney comes across as the most pleasant of people but there's something about his honesty that is refreshing if not admirable. I read a story a while back about him getting into a fracas in public in which he'd chanced a rare outing to a nightclub in town with family and friends, posed for photo after photo without complaint and then reacted to someone taking a liberty/the piss with him. When the incident happened the story was 'Bad boy footballer acts a cnut in public again' but another more nuanced side had been missed.
Fair enough mate, I think we can agree England aren't great either way. If we're looking at giving Deeney a seat on the plane I'd say we're doubly feckedI thought I am transparent with my post
I couldn't care less with England NT. England may have other components to make great team, but the core is pretty much gutted with the midfield options. While not saying Deeney is the one to look at, but the option to go bypass midfield in certain situation should be looked at with that kind of midfield
Good on him.
