Zlatan and Pogbas legs alone are like an extra player. They are like inspector gadget legs

No, he didn't.
He got Plan A and Plan B.
Both speedy boys came on as subs with fresh legs. Against tired legs, they do have huge advantage since they are fast and fresh. :)
That's more like a FIFA subs but ok...

Delighted with the last minute winner. Thought the performance was great and we deserved way more than just one goal. Hull's defence was set up perfectly and they gave their all in the game which made it very difficult to score. Thought Shaw was great, same with Blind and Bailly. Valencia got forward a lot but his delivery was poor. Pogba a bit inconsistent throughout imo, some great stuff but a lot of wasted shooting chances. Ibra also showed some good stuff but his touch was a bit sloppier than usual. Rooney wasn't great but was nowhere near as bad as some of the comments I saw suggested. He lost the ball a lot but he also created some of our best chances throughout the 90 mins and the work he did for our goal was absolutely phenomenal. Martial was easily our worst player today. One poor performance too many. He should be the first taken out for either Mkhitaryan or Rashford. I think Mata should be taken out also. He wasn't poor, but wasn't great either and both Mkhi and Marcus were fantastic off the bench and should start imo. I think we'll look back at this win as an important one at the end of the season. These are the type of wins that indicate a title winning team.

Vintage United. :D The second half was pretty much Helms Deep and we were the Orcs! Hull with a back 9 all game made it very frustrating but we just kept plugging away until we finally got the goal, great instinct from Rashford. Jose making the 2 positive attacking subs was very important, pro-active rather than reactive.

We didn't have much defending to do but I thought Shaw, Blind and Bailly were still very good at snuffing out any potential counter and immediately getting us back on the front foot.

Curtis Davies was feckin' immense for them by the way. What a performance from him... worthy of an England call-up alone.

Hmm, they just mentioned that Rashford is the first junior player to score for their first game for Mourinho.
Hope Rashford develops as an Eto'o style player. It would be crazy and exciting!!!

I think CM still needs something. Pogba and Fellaini doesn't look ideal. Fellaini will be outpaced by better forwards. Not sure who'd be a better partner for Pog

That was a strange game. I don't think we played too well, especially in attack, our passing was not precise, the players were quite slow & we were not direct enough etc. Mhki and Rashford changed that to some extent. I also don't feel too confident about our midfield yet, if Pogba is going to play in a 2, we had better put a proper DM behind him, yes, Fellaini has been fantastic and did a proper mopping up job today too, but, we haven't really dictated play in midfield this season and for me, that's a worry. I'm very happy we won.

Agreed 100%.
This is why I wouldn't want Rashford starting yet. The guy is young and has plenty of time to play without being under pressure (which is what would happen if he starts for us).
With Miki - I'd start him ahead of Mata.

Really satisfying to get the 3 points like that.

I was cursing Rooney being on the left, but all credit to his intent and eventual assist.

Bailly and Blind look unerringly good together. Bailly shouldn't be this comfortable in the Premier League already! And Blind must study his opposition in detail, because his ability to anticipate play is freakish. I watch both of them expecting a mistake, but nope. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Martial's place could be under threat. Mkhitaryan will be a starter soon enough. Rashford is a brilliant impact player.

Still think something isn't quite right about how we're lining up. When only two of your front six have any pace to speak of, you're going to struggle to stretch the opposition, without significant contributions from the full backs at least. It's a little too pedestrian at times.

I think Mourinho knows his best team. But I don't believe that the starting lineup today (and indeed against Southampton) is it.

But we've played three, won three. So what do I know.

One things is for sure. There is so much more to come from this team.

Knew we would score. Just knew it, from the moment Miki and Rashford got us going again.

Been calling for this front four all season so far, still think it's what we need:

Martial Ibra Rashford
Miki
Although credit where it's due to Rooney, that was a brilliant assist.
Been awful should be dropped..He doesn't look right at the minute.

Brilliant - felt like one of those games - only difference is this time we kept trying and it paid off. (LVG would have changed the fullbacks or something).

Rashford is obviously getting a lot of the attention, but I felt that Shaw, Blind, Bailly and Fellaini also played very well.

Martial needs a break to find his form from last season
