We have to win all games over Christmas if we want to save the league campaign and there should be no excuse for not beating this shit bunch.

All the talk about Zaha? Has he become good or what?
Yeah hes good, takes on his man with ease his end product has improved substantially and he is in great form. I'm having cold sweats thinking about darmian trying to deal with him.

Palace away is always hard-fought. They will defend well, and the absence of Mkhitaryan will make it much harder to break them down.

Scrappy win will do me fine.

Win this and I think its fair we start feeling momentum to go on a streak.
As Jose said, performances have been consistent for a while, so a couple of wins on the trot could seriously launch our season.

I'm enjoying the depth of our squad too this season, Rojo, Jones and of course Miki have been quality lately. Even Romero had another good cameo mid-week. We lose Miki, and we have Mata ready to come in (who has been superb this season).
A lot of us could feel the beast stirring within this squad over the last month or so, a couple of wins could see that beast released over xmas with some 4-0 wins to be enjoyed.
Just need to beat Palace, and I think we will. Rojo and Jones to keep Benteke in their pocket, and mata to spark us at the other end. 2-0.

I expect goals in this one. is Shaw fit? With Valencia suspended I expect Darmian to cover at right back and Blind to go left back.

Zaha is going to destroy darmian.

I would rather use blind at LB and put Jones at RB, put Bailly in. We need a big back 4 against palace as they love slinging in crosses.

The way Palace defended yesterday, we might score 2... :keano:

    De Gea

    Bailly Jones Rojo Blind

    Pogba Herrera

    Martial Mata Rashford

    Ibrahimovic
Could well have to score at least 2, they have scored 10 in their last 3 games, and only failed to score once in ther last 10

I don't know..............but we weren't exactly talking about Sissoko being a world beater before he came on yesterday either!!!!!!

No time for rotation. We've just got a win and need to keep the momentum going. We can rotate when we play Sunderland at home on Boxing Day.

    DDG

    Darmian Jones Rojo Blind

    Fellaini Herrera Pogba

    Lingard Ibrahimovic Martial

Made 3 changes from the team yesterday: Blind in for the suspended Valencia, Lingard in for Mkhitariyan and Fellaini in for Carrick who probably needs a rest.

Tbh, not really sure who's gonna play. This team is leaving Mata and Rooney out, who've both been really good recently.

It's an away game, away from our moronic home "fans", so Fellaini will probably be given 90 minutes to restore his confidence and for JM to make a point to our "fans" about who is in charge of team-selection. Hope he plays. Hope he has a blinder. Hope he scores.

People are random in this place. As soon as a player become non United he gets given this amazing reputation and inflated ratings by our Caf residents and the contrary happens when a player signs for United.

This is why this forum constantly overrate City players and get off underrating our own players.

It's an odd mentality on this forum.

Not going to lie, would be nice for Palace to win this to get them in some kind of form before they play Chelsea this coming weekend.

That said, I think United will take all 3 points but not with any degree of certainty.

We should win this one as Palace are shipping goals for fun also I do not see Spurs not beating Hull at home so this is another must win for me as are the following two matches. Martial has to be given a run to find his form especially as Rashford is looking awful right now and Lingard is just johnny average with a nice goal every now and then. Mata should come back in and pull the strings although the pace and vision of Micky will be a big miss.
Would like to see the pace of Shaw at left back but feel Blind and his brain will be the best option despite him being a snail. Darmian just gives me zero confidence and although Bailly would slot in fine I feel the current partnership should keep its place on merit right now.

    1-2 or 1-3

We really need this victory. Hopefully 3 points for this one, even if I'm not that confident. We didn't played so well at Everton and didn't created that much, so I really hope that we'll score and not concede. The kind of games where we need miracles from De Gea.

With Valencia out, we will have issues on the wings. Darmian is not good going forward and doesn't provides anything, as Mata and Martial prefers coming in, we'll have issue on the wing.

But I rather have Mata and Martial on the wings that Rashford and Lingard for sure

I think Lingard will play out wide as he's better defencively than Martial and Mata

He didn't even make the bench yesterday so I'm not so sure. But with Mkhitaryan injured, he has a chance.
It's tough because I prefer Mata and Martial but with Darmien getting murdered yesterday I think he'll need help.

Martial didn't play badly yesterday but he wasn't helping out enough defencively.

Just for fecking Zaha? Come on people. We played against L'pool in great form at Anfield with some makeshifts and were able to get the better of them for part of game. Mane was ineffective while Coutinho was also limited by our game plan. Why suddenly Zaha made us fear them as if we're facing Messi at his peak?

I actually though Martial done quite well defensively yesterday; if anything, I would critique him over his offensive play. Mkhitaryan would have been a banker to start but unfortunately Rose (the cnut) put an end to that. Lingard doesn't seem to be in Mourinho's plans as much as he was at the start of the season but he will no doubt get some minutes over the next few weeks.

It's sad that we have to think about sacrificing our attacking output just to try and make sure that Darmian isn't badly exposed again.

Yeah it's funny to be honest, Zaha seems to be extremely overrated on here at the minute. That said, he's been in alright form and the problem is that Darmian is so utterly useless, that it wouldn't take much for him to be exposed.

It's not just Zaha Mata and Darmien on the same side of the field doesn't exactly fill me with confidence against a counter attacking team.

I don't think it's just Zaha though. They are a very good counter attacking team and out wide we could have Mata, Darmien, Blind, Martial - that could be dangerous for us.

Palace are dire defensively but they do look threatening going forward (albeit, the recent glut of goals for them has come against Hull and Swansea). I expect them to get a goal so we will need to score more than one.
