I think it's insane if Romero plays on Thursday or the final. We're not a charity and DDG is one of the top 3 keepers in the world.
I agree, we shouldn't be taking any 'risks' at this point. On the other hand if he is deemed good enough to play ahead of De Gea in such crucial games then in theory there should be no worry about him being first choice when De Gea leaves.

As so many of you mentioned before, we need an early goal to ease the nerves. Celta will play a really strong team (they've rested plenty of players in the last La Liga game) and they will come here with nothing to lose and wishing for a miracle.

I am spanish and I've been reading celta's forum, and despite after their defeat from last week against us, they are still dreaming and they have hopes they can cope with the pressure and write a massive history letter in their books.

As I said before, I hope we will score an early goal to calm the nerves and we'll secure the game in the 2nd half. I am going for a 2-0 for us.

    And the SXI:

    Romero

    Valencia
    Bailly
    Blind
    Darmian

    Herrera
    Fellaini
    Pogba

    Lingard
    Rashford
    Mkhitaryan

Felt confident about getting into the final after Thursday. I've become nervy after reading all these comments now.

And they've already got through twice after great away results. No complacency !!

    So Mou ditched PL then..

Better win the EL now - otherwise he HAS TO get the same punishment LvG got. Can see us losing this 1-2 to be honest.
Not he won't got the same punishment, LVG had 2 seasons and the team became worse in his 2nd season. There is no one as good as Jose to be our manager now.

No actually he does not. The club is well within their rights to look at a variety of other issues in deciding whether to fire a manager or not. Life is like that.

I'd have Mkyitaryan or Lingard over Martial.

    Romero

    Valencia, Bailly, Blind, Darmian

    Pogba, Herrera, Fellaini

    Mickey, Rashford, Martial

Would be the team I'd go for. I'm predicting a 1-1 draw with us going through 2-1 on aggregate.

How is this idiot a journalist who can anyone listen to is beyond me. I'm starting to think a United fan killed one of his relatives before and he's trying to take the revenge since then.

Complete idiot. These tweets embarrass himself more.

Two? The game would be dead and buried if we score one. I think winning at their place finished the tie personally - I can't see them scoring two. They are absolutely dreadful.
If we score one and they score one, all they need is another to go through on away goals.

Balague is just pro-La Liga that's all. No need to pay attention to anything he says.

Good thing we don't support a club that is known to do things the hard way or anything
Well, we're but I don't feel the need of such a negativity that they'll score twice.

I predict a game stuck at 0-0 with us messing easy chances as usual then we score in the second half and kill the game.

A Celta Vigo fan said this after they lost to us:
"what is better: run 10 km, stopping 30 minutes to run another 10 km, or 20 km run followed?"

It's not wise to rest that many players for so long. Just look at Celta. You risk losing match-rhythm and players need to play together constantly, it's important for team-work.

I am at the game on Thursday and hope the stadium is rocking because I don't expect it to be an easy game, we the fans are going to have to play our part but expect us to go through. Cant have Rooney anywhere near the team though, there is a noticeable difference in transition of our play when he is involved now. I expect Romero, Valencia, Bailly, Blind, Darmian, Fellaini, Herrera,Pogba, Mkhi, Lingard & Rashford to play. Would personally start Martial over Lingard but don't expect JM to.

Good point. Keep them on the bench and use them sparringly instead? I would say those 5 we definitely wouldn't want to see injured before a potential final

They'll be just resting for about 2 weeks. Remember how South was fresh against us in the EFL cup final.

Playing them in meaningless games and risking injury will be a gamble. The rest of league games should be for giving final chances for the kinds of our 2 English clowns in the defense, our finished captain and Martial.

I can't imagine them scoring twice on OT.
If its 1-1 with twenty minutes left, they will throw everyone forward and it will be nervy, real nervy.

Two or more goals from us without reply will completely kill the game.

I nearly had a stroke last match against Anderlecht.

If we scored first I don't even think they'll be gunning as much as you think. They'll be needing 2 goals at OT, something enough to drop any hope from their heart.

Just because you went for a drive without your seat belt and didn't die doesn't mean it was a good idea and you should keep doing it.
Yes, that's an extremely fair comparison. 15 matches, 5 conceded goals (1 pen), he's been great this season. The first leg was by far our most important game of the season, and José went with Romero. And why wouldn't he, I think he's done less mistakes per minute than DDG.

I'm starting to trust Romero more than David tbh, at least this season.
