Stupid question but anyone know if Ronaldo will be playing with Portugal in the Confederations Cup from June 17th?
He will be there yes. Portugal have named a first choice squad so he has another chance to win a trophy.

This end of the season is beyond ridiculous, I honestly doubt something like this will ever happen again.

Last 10 games:

Bayern away
Bayern at home
Barcelona at home
Valencia at home
Atlético at home
Atlético away
Seville at home
Celta away
Malaga away
Juve (CL final)

16 goals, with 0 penalties. All of them decisive, giving Real Madrid their first CL-league double since 1958. There's no words anymore.

Career wise:

CL quarter finals: 20 goals in 18 matches

CL semi finals: 13 goals in 19 matches

CL final: 4 goals in 5 matches

Not bad for someone who doesn't perform in big games.

Why did we have to sell him?
Because he wanted to leave us. We can't keep a unhappy player forever and we got shitloads of money. It's not like we sold him because we didn't want him to stay or the money was more tempting.

Ruthless player, absolutely devastating movement and finishing in the box, hes quite different now than he was at United.

P.s He gave his best years to Madrid guys stop wanting him back.

Regardless of that, why wouldn't you want the best player in the world at United?

If he got on a plane to Manchester tonight and signed with us i'll make sure i'm there to welcome him of course I'd love to have him back but its never going to happen. He left us wanting to go to his dream club, we were just a pit stop (an amazing one) for one of the greatest players ever.

But still nothing wrong with wanting United to sign the best player in the world.

He hasn't had that criticism levelled at him for almost a decade now. The "not a big game player" accusation stopped after he scored in the 2008 CL final.

Search this thread or the Messi vs Ronaldo thread for 'important games' You'll be surprised

I would quote them all but that would be too petty

Still calls him boss :D

When his son said something I think Ronaldo translated it as "he says you're the best manager in the world". Good lad.
Ronaldo asked his son what was Fergie's name, the kid answered he didn't know and then Cristiano translated it like that

That's RONALDO! He's won back to back Champions League, Euros, Ballon d'Or , and La Liga in the last 12 months and paid his taxes too.

Epic (From facebook comments by Robertas Staskevicius).

Might need to adjust the tax bit.

Looking over my shoulder.
He's starting to make more runs in and around the defense, stretching the defenders, outpacing them and getting ahead of defenders. He looks much faster now than he did in the Euros. Has he regained most of the pace that he seemed to have lost?

Absolutely brilliant game by him.

I hate that he's successful with another club than us. Always wanted him to fail.

He has been managed better this season, so I think more than regaining pace he's just more fresh thanks to having played less games whereas the last season he was playing every game he was available so by late April he was already burned so no wonder in Euros he looked to be playing as if he was injured.

Put simply, he is a goal machine.
No other words can describe him.

And to think 2 years ago, many MUFC fans felt he was not good enough to play for us, even though he was scoring almost as many goals as our entire team put together. :houllier:

If he joined us this Summer (and I know that won't ever happen), he'll immediately be our best player.
