Andreas Pereira said:
I played out wide in the beginning then, after that, I played more as a no.10 and, then in the last two or three months, I’ve played as a central midfielder,

It went well and I think I have found another position. I think it’s good to be more of an all-round player and Granada have used me in every midfield position so I am happy the coach trusted me and I did my job. It’s important but, as always, I will go where the manager needs me, I will play in any position and feel I can fulfil many roles.

I think I’m ready now. I have played over 2,000 minutes now in men’s football, in La Liga, and I did quite well. I feel I’m ready, more than ready, to play men’s football now. I am more mature as well, physically and mentally, and I am ready to come back and hopefully push to play next season for United.

Despite Granada's struggles, one of the few players we've sent out on loan in recent times who has played well.

Expect him to come back a better player for that experience he gained.

Had a very good game against Real away, seemed totally unfazed. Could be a rising star this season hopefully

Got a very good feeling about him playing for us this season, ideal back up for Pogba.

Will be interesting to see where he is deployed on tour. I liked him in the deeper role last summer against Wigan can't see him getting much game time as a LM with Martial/rashford and potentially Perisic.

He looked class in most of the games vs the big three in Spain tbf. He's added so much to his game last season including grit, defensive awareness and agility. He's got a great pass on him too. Hopefully he gets plenty of game time next season. I personally think he's a bigger talent than Martial and Rashford.

Worried for Andreas despite him being named in the US tour squad. We've had prospects like this before and they've all been bit part players who play here and there in preseason and the League Cup and Champions League dead rubbers, before eventually falling by the wayside.

He's clearly a good player but not sure he'll get the chances his performances have deserved. Really hope I'm wrong and that Mou gives him a chance as he could be a decent player for us. If Lingard can be a squad player for us, then Pereira certainly can.

If you look at our squad and some of the players Mourinho has brought in it shows he's more open to playing younger players than is being made out. If he is good enough - which I think he is - he will play, it's that cut and dry with Jose.

All he has to do to is grab his chances and make himself more important than fellaini then he will get 20+starts

Personally think he could be the most important talent we have in the first team squad atm

Sincerely hope he makes it here. Could do with his versatility and he does seem to have the talent.

His played positions, though, all over the place. Mourinho likes specialists!:p

He's such a talented player but I just don't see where he fits in our team at the minute.

For now, he just has to fit as a sub, that is, a squad player. If he stays and the number of midfield and attacking players are these, he'll have plenty of minutes.

Andreas Pereira
Timothy Fosu-Mensah
Axel Tuanzebe

These are the next three genuine talents from our youth that have a high chance of breaking into the first team.
Hope they all have bigger roles this season.

What? Fellaini's one of the most important players for Jose. Periera needs to grow 6 inches to even have a chance. lol

I agree with you. Mourinho needs to find a way to give him minutes, it looks like we have a real talent in our hands.

He will be useful in this year's squad I think. He will be an alternative to Herrera, Pogba, Martial and Mata. Last year has shown us he has ambitions to be a good player for this club. His mentality sets him apart from the likes of Januzaj. Really believe in this kid.

Very talented, hope he has a role to play this season. Last seasons loan was definitely beneficial for him.

I might be one a few but I think Herrera will be a full time holding midfielder in the coming season and Pereira could potentially play ahead of him with Pogba in a few matches.

He can play instead of Fellaini imo, in those games where we need creativity more than elbows. Pogba I assume will play further upfront in a more creative role so that leaves him and Herrera in midfield

If we don't buy a CDM of at least Fabinho's quality then I would play Herrera as a DLP and give Pereira a place alongside Pogba. He seems to have Mata's on the ball ability but with greater physicality.

There was an interview of him a couple of months back, where he said playing for Granada improved his defensive skills a lot.. Now he has more awareness about his defensive responsibilities.. Must be music to Mourinho's ears..

He also said Mourinho was in constant touch throughout the loan,so I think he has high hopes from him..

Watching him dribble past players is ridiculously entertaining. You tend to get one young player who just tears it up in pre-season, I predict it'll be him.

Not convinced he'll get the game time, personally. All his numbers will likely be fed to Carrick and Fellaini. Really hope I'm wrong, because I think he's excellent.

I really hope he does succeed with us, it's been a while since a young midfielder have managed to come through ranks and be consistent.
