Is drawing against Stoke going to cost us the league?

It's two points dropped. That could be crucial come the end of the season, but there's still loads of games to play.

No, but the first we actually have to challenge for the league. And we were nowhere near the level of the likes orlf Chelsea to be able to do that. So every game will offer a little more to viewers about this team so as to form a view of whether that will happen. Everyone seems to be taking for granted that we'll challenge, after the first three games, which felt lovely but we still have to prove that, let alone that we can win the whole thing.

As long as Stoke don't roll over in 2 weeks time against Chelsea a point might not look that bad then

A win would have been great. If you want to win the title you have to get 3 points from these tricky ties. Today we shot on ourselves by making stupid defensive errors. Now we must get 9 points from Everton, soton and palace is we are to keep up the pace before we face Liverpool and other big guns.

Would you say it is time to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?

Part of being a mature and sensible football fan is that you have to accept that even title winning sides will drop points in maybe 10-12 games minimum.

The league is more competitive than ever. The absolute key is going to be taking as close to 60pts as possible from the bottom 10 sides because inevitably we will drop points away at the top half sides

People can act like it means nothing but the fact is, it was our first real test this season and we failed it.

Miserably.

Drawing at Stoke won't cost us the league - but believing the earth is flat and that gravity is fake may.

Any points dropped is costly. Still there are 34 games to go. Nothing is lost or won yet.

We still haven't faced a top team. I'll reserve my judgement till then. Right now, we should concentrate on getting back to winning ways against Everton.

The addition of Lukaku and Matic was bee good, but we still needed to buy a winger/full back. If Shaw comes good though...Huge if, but still

No, but having three transfer windows and the same problems exist are worrying.

It is a funny day for lots of big clubs. Real madrid drop point home against Levante. Bayern gets beaten by 2-0 against Hoffenheim. Dortmund don't win and neither to Atletico Madrid. Monaco lost 3-0 as well. Barcelona fans must be really happy with the start to the season no doubt even if they haven't impressed that much in terms of how they play.

The problem isn't the dropped points but the game: it was a bit like last season. The confidence that there is a significant improvement from last season is premature.

The first three games? Well, the opposition was poor/average. United have had the easiest fixtures so far. All other contenders have played 2 from top 7, United none.

We have drawn 15 matches last season. We need to cut it to 7 or so this season, minimum 10 draws but only losing only 3 games or so.

Still early, but there's nothing to be worried about as long as the main base is strong. We have 2 difficult matches next 2 weeks so let's see what will happen.

Considering the past two times we've lost the league title whilst actually competing for it we've lost out by a single point and goal difference, then yes it could cost us.

No of course not but we aren't winning the league anyway that much I'd wager my left nut on.

Liverpool lost 2 points against Watford, Spurs lost 2 points against Burnely at home and Chelsea lost 3 points to Burnely at home as well.

Aren't these average teams ?

True. But 85 pts won't suffice for the title.

A shit Leicester team at home isn't a threat.
It's not a threat because we just won it. If we had won today, the same would have been said about Stoke and that Everton is our real first test.

Apparently a recent thread starter who questioned whether not buying a FB may cost us the league.
What next? The earth is at the centre of the universe? Dinosaurs are myth?
