Reminds me of Drogba vs Lampard in their 8-0 win over Wigan in the last game of 2010? season. Was 1 or 2 nil and Drogba needed the goal for the golden boot but Lampard refused and rightly so.

Think Drogba went on to score 2 or 3 anyway and won the golden boot.

Emery seems like a weak coach. He should pick the penalty & free kick takers, and tell them to shut up and get on with it.

Normal stuff. Cavani was the top dog and Neymar is the new superstar now. They are only battling out to see who has the bigger balls and is the boss in the squad, the old or the new player.

I agree. I also think Neymar is being ridiculous. Cavani is the designated kicker.

Neymar is a proper diva. Apparently left Barcelona to get out of Messi's 'shadow'. Dives around like he has been shot when tackles and now this. Danny Alves is embarrassing, refusing to give Cavani the ball so that his boyfriend Neymar can take the freekick.

The first part is not true though, no matter what Neymar says, his move to PSG was only about the money.

I'd be pissed if I were Cavani.

Alves has no right taking the ball off him.

Cavani's the penatly taker, and should continue that way unless he gives it to someone else, or the manager chooses someone.

Dani Alves and Neymar are both new players at PSG. It's a bit ridiculous to see that Alves takes the ball from Cavani to give it to Neymar. Cavani has been at the club for years, and no matter if Neymar is the new star or not, Alves has no business deciding this for the two of them.

The only way to get the majority to watch the French league? This should have been decided a long time ago. neymar left Barcelona for money....but he wouldn't want to be seen as not taking all these things else then he wouldn't be number one at Psg...let alone Barcelona. He's a fool for making a foolish move.

Great player, his career choice will be his downfall imo tho. He will never be considered one of the great ones while playing in the French league unless PSG dominates the ECL for the next years while he is the main force behind that.
I can see them win the ECL at some point but I seen better teams than this PSG side

As silly as it is, it absolutely sends a message. Countless articles about a player following a team or players of a team that's not his or unfollowing a teammate or team. Social media has a lot of impact on the news nowadays.

Compare this to Leo Messi who regularly gave the ball to Suarez/Neymar for penalties so that they can get on the scoresheet when him taking and scoring the penalty would've meant a hattrick.

I would love PSG to sign Ronaldo. The team would explode from so much ego.

Imagine the scenes if this happened to Ibra instead of Cavani. Neymar and Alves would be looking for new clubs by now.

Can't blame him. It takes a big personality to deal with the likes of Neymar and Alves. Both grade A cnuts.
And they did that to the guy who has been in the club for far longer than them, truly grade A cnuts, I thought Neymar is already over his childish attitude and matured a lot after he plays with guy like Messi and Iniesta, but now that he's the top dog once again, he's back to his Santos' days

Emery knows if it comes down to him or Neymar, it will be him leaving. He'll get fired so fast, he wont have time to spell his name. That is partially a problem with the current state of football.

Neymar just showed his cintish nature.

Emery should have made Neymar his penalty taker from the start. It's not like Cavani is 100 % reliable either.

Don't see it as weak from emery. He's treating them like adults and expect them to sort it out. If they insist on being kids about it, he will step in.

A bit late for that now. They've already embarassed themselves and the relationship between Neymar and Cavani is destroyed. If Neymar becomes their penalty taker now, after the row between them, it will feel humilating for Cavani.

Cavan I missed the penalty. It's good enough excuse to pass the baton. Even Cavani would turn rogue now, the purchase of MBappe means they can bench Cavani and still have Pastore, Draxler Di Maria to change the system to support Neymar and MBappe.

I really hate footballers. We are lucky to have some really good guys though.
