Sorry friend but that's not I am suggesting.
I already said when he has bad days we should criticize him.
but when there is no football is playing we can give him some break, no point of posting same negative post.
Agreed mate but there's no point in positive posts either if you think about it though. It's only an internet forum nothing posted here affects the players. Unless they read it daily which i doubt.

Please read my initial reply to post. The person try to predict future and all I said to be little positive.
I understand how forum work, but asking someone to little positive and give him break is not over the top comment.
No it's not over the top mate at all, but you would have about as much success playing snooker with a rope as you would trying to make the Lingard performance thread more positive.

He is much closer to a Championship level player, than a Manchester United one.
Very true, which is why am very sad that Martial has got only like 45 minutes more playing time than Lingard in the first 11 games of the season. I think that says a lot about Mourinho and United in general these days. If Lingard played for City, he would probably have 0-50 minutes in total, and Martial would have had much more. Every time I see us fielding Lingard from start, or keep bringing him on when tied, I know we won’t win the game.

Is it really that close? That's crazy.

Must admit when I walk up the stairs at OT and see his name on the team sheet my heart sinks a little. As much as I like home grown players he just isn't good enough to play at this level. Shows how far standards have slipped that people continue to make excuses for him.

We have problems with our first eleven and some of you want to chop Lingard and replace him when he has shown he is capable in the cups as a squad player.

Everyone is so harsh on him.

Was disappointed to see him miss that golden opportunity last kick of the game last night. As good a squad option he is, i feel his ceiling is quite low potential wise. A calmer and more clever player would have had the composure to get a shot on target there i think. Snatching at chances like that is disappointing.

Let me put it this way, you are right, our first eleven is the problem and they should be upgraded with better players. The likes of Mkhitaryan should be demoted to squad player, and players like Lingard should be moved on. We can't have a place in the squad for players like Lingard for him to only deliver 3-4 games a year, not for 100k a week.

He doesn't only deliver 3-4 times a year. Mkhitaryan probably wouldn't accept being a squad player. Lingard is homegrown which actually counts for something.

He doesn’t? If you forget the “good movement” attribute he barely offers anything . Him being homegrown saved him long enough, we can balance the numbers without him.

Mkhitaryan with how he’s been playing, will be lucky to be offered a squad role, if not he can go play second fiddle to Bayern for the rest of his career.

If he was to score 5 goals tonight he'd still be shit, bang average, and not an United player. Bollocks. Yeah , pissing in the wind, I know.

He isn’t a terrible player, just an average player. Every team needs a Lingard in their squad, a player who will sit on the bench and put up with being used for rotation. You can’t have 25 world class players in your squad. Just doesn’t work.

I dont even think Lingard is mid table, he brings nothing to the team going forward.... always puts his hands out asking for a pass, then passes it right back.

He plays well with good players because he's got good movement and understanding of the game so keeps things moving and links up well but he doesn't really have the level to impose himself on a game and be the main man, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as he can help our other, more talented, players elevate their own games by constantly being the wall they play off, he's a useful squad player for sure.

what the hell is his position? no one is on the right wing because all lingard does is run trough the middle and chase pogba wherever he goes.

his positioning is one of the worst i have ever seen. every game the same stuff just a complete nothing player imo. he offers nothing.

I hope we can give him away and get him off the books in the summer or even better January.

I feel like Jose should start focusing on giving someone like Angel Gomes more game time, rather than waste it on Lingard.

Too inconsistent, he either plays well or totally vanishes. Hes alot better playing on the counter than against a team sitting deep.

How did he get any sort of praise in the first half is beyond me. Terribly average performance from an average player. Was our lowest forward in the game.

No he’s not he’s pretty average at best and we need better.

I had to criticise our players but to me, he is a nothing player. Doesn't impose himself on the match. Any good thing he does is immediately followed up by a poor decision or a pass. His ineptitude coupled with Darmian's limited ability meant we carried no attacking threat on the right.

Unfortunately his constant movement meant our only attacking threat on the right was bloody Darmian.
This is annoying about him he makes team look out of shape running pointless even to left midfield. It’s not working hard it’s being stupid chasing shadows. Pointless player as usual

He can have good matches, which sometimes don't get acknowledged on here. This certainly wasn't one of them.
Question is, does he have enough of them for a squad player at Man United? He has scored in a couple of important cup games but I really don't think he can be relied upon to perform with any kind of consistency. I am always surprised if he does well, which tells its own story.

Really annoys me when he drifts inside thinking he’s David Silva, just stay wide and give us width FFS
